"We stayed 7 days / 6 nights at AVA Resort Cancun. Overall, the stay was okay, but we would not return. The resort felt too crowded for our preference—you need to enjoy large, busy, high-traffic environments to fully appreciate it. Hotel was very clean and nice/new. There were several downsides. The pools and some activities like volleyball on the beach closed quite early. Finding a sun lounger was difficult unless you paid extra to upgrade, and even then, reserving a Bali bed required walking all the way back to the lobby. Beach seating was also limited, with very few loungers and umbrellas available. The resort is directly under a flight path, with airplanes passing overhead roughly every 5-10 minutes, which can be quite disruptive. Upon arrival, there was no clear introduction or explanation of how the resort works. When we asked for information, we were instead directed into a lengthy (around 2-hour) timeshare sales presentation. Service could be slow at times—we waited about 20 minutes for simple items like tacos, and it was often difficult to book restaurants or even get drinks at the bar. The resort also felt quite loud and overcrowded throughout the day. The water slides are noticeably smaller than they appear in promotional photo on expedia. Additionally, some staff seemed overworked, which occasionally affected the quality of interactions. In summary, while the resort has potential, the overcrowding, noise, and organization issues made it less enjoyable for us. "

"Personal war nett und zuvorkommend. Tolle Aktivitäten, insbesondere vielen Dank an Antonio, wir haben mit dir so viel Spaß gehabt!! Insgesamt viel Animations Programm über den Tag mit immer guter Laune. Das Hotel hat einen süßen Candy Shop/Eisdiele, in dem man sich bei dem warmherzigen Julio den ganzen Tag über die Süßigkeiten holen kann. Julio macht in dem Laden ein märchenhaftes Ambiente, vielen Dank!! Im Café kann man sich 24h eine Kleinigkeit (Bananen Brot ist unsfassbar lecker) und einen Kaffee holen. Einen insbesondere guten Barista Kaffe kann da eine Dame. Vielen Dank an sie, das sorgt für den besten Einstieg in den Tag! Das Essen war lecker und sehr abwechslungsreich. Es gibt mehrere Restaurants a la carte und das Hauptrestaurant mit Buffet mit Show cooking. Das Zimmer war sauber und bequem. Die Cocktails fand ich zu süß, was aber an den Zutaten und nicht an Fähigkeiten der Mitarbeiter liegt, die sehr freundlich und witzig waren. "

"Mega Party!!! Wer Aktion möchte ist hier genau richtig. Wir hatten das Zimmer im Tower auf der 6. Etage, sprich eine wundervolle Aussicht auf das Meer und die Anlage. Vor allem Nachts ist die Aussicht aus dem Balkon sehr interessant ;-). Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen lässt zu wünschen übrig und ist eher mittelmäßig."

"Wir hatten einen außergewöhnlichen Aufenthalt. Die mexikanische Gastfreundlichkeit - das Hotelpersonal - war herausragend. Ich möchte Omar und Sergio in der Loungebar hervorheben. Perfekte Bartender! Die Zimmer waren exzellent und sauber. Das Essen Delicious. Das Entertainment mit den RIU Partys ein riesiger Spaß. Insgesamt ein perfekter Aufenthalt, in einem Hotel, dass seine 5* mehr als verdient. "

"Tuvimos un problema con el precio que teníamos con Expedia. Al llegar al hotel nos cobraron 20 mil pesos más caro. El personal nada empático. Viajo con una persona en silla de ruedas. Es la primera vez en 20 años que querian cobrarme por las sábanas que no estaban limpias .. INCREÍBLE!!!! .. en cuanto a las instalaciones. Hay otras opciones mucho mejores con un nivel muy elevado y que en cuanto a relación precio - calidad .. están por muy encima de este hotel Occidental.. NO VILVERE JAMAS .. NADA RECOMENDABLE!!! MUY MALA EXPERIENCIA. "
