We stayed in a 2BR townhouse/villa unit, not the hotel room building. Unit was predominantly as described; however, could use a bit of freshening up/new coat of paint. Our friends stayed in the 2BR hotel unit just across from the parking lot, and although I preferred our unit due to size, views and privacy/seclusion, our friends hotel unit seemed fresher/more recently updated. As mentioned in other reviews the neighbor townhouse unit shares a wall and you can easily hear the other people; however, this was never a big issue as most people were polite and respectful. The pros were definitely the resort and location. I've stayed in Gatlinburg before and love the location of Mountainloft. The amenities (pools, putt putt, fire pit, etc.) were top notch. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again primarily for the location of the resort and its great family friendly amenities. The pool next to putt putt course was our home base and has a terrific view of the mountains. We could have stayed there all week. There were multiple bear encounters and reports of vehicle bear break in's so take this seriously . The staff did a great job keeping the bears away. Also, one concern I had prior to booking this unit were the reviews of bugs/roaches, so I was on high alert. For what it's worth I did not see a single bug so thankfully this wasn't an issue for us. Again I would stay here again.

Tournament Stay

Mountain Loft was a great place to stay in Gatlinburg. Out of town so you feel like you are in the mountains, but just minutes to everything.

Convenient, clean place for family

We have stayed here a few times. Rooms are clean and spacious, comfortable. Pools and putt putt golf make for a fun relaxing stay. Views are very nice, staff is always friendly and responsive.

Great vacation property

We enjoyed our stay in this property. It was very nice and extremely clean. The property management people were very kind and helpful. This property was in a great location to downtown Gatlinburg.

Great Location

Great location and perfect for a family of four. It was cleaner than I expected. The resort has three pools which is nice when you want to just hang out and relax after a day of shopping or sight seeing.

Great location!

We were surprised by the great location, and the room the condo offered for our family. We enjoyed all of the pools, the washer/dryer in the unit, and the fully stocked kitchen.

Beautiful townhouse

We enjoyed our stay. The townhouse is spacious and meet our needs. We did have wood roaches in the unit. (May they rest in peace). The resort is located away from the city center, which we preferred. Close to all the attractions.

Great Stay and Location

2nd time staying at The Lofts. Love the location with easy access to all the area has to offer and far enough away from the crowds. Nice new mini golf and outdoor games area. Units could use some updating but very clean. Staff is excellent Definitely recommend

Girls Trip

My mother, sister, and I snuck away for a few days to enjoy the beautiful mountains in TN. We were very please with our Mountain Loft Villa. Check-in was a breeze, we had quality service when needed, and enjoyed all the comforts of home. The resort had a bunch of nice amenities and the location was perfect for a short drive to Gatlinburg downtown and to Pigeon Forge. Will definitely spread the word!

Beautiful property with all the amenities!

We loved staying here. We had plenty of room for our family of 5, all the amenities and there were fun things to do including Put Put golf and three pools to choose from! The staff were friendly and personal. The townhome was clean and nice. There were plenty of towels and extra bedding. The beds were very comfortable. We even bought tickets for attractions at a discounted rate. We will definitely stay here again.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabins. They were larger than I anticipated but cozy at the same time. We enjoyed the pool and the putt putt course. The only criticism I would make is that there is NO insulation between the duplexes. You can hear EVERYTHING that happens next door.

A beautiful, clean resort.

The resort is clean, relaxing and beautiful. Everywhere you go there is something beautiful to look at. The rental was clean and spacious. There is a new put-put golf, 3 pools, sauna, jacuzzi, and a fire pit at night. Across from us was a gas grill ready to go! If you want a charcoal grill, they have those too. You can walk around the resort, then grab a coffee at the welcome center and sit out on the deck. I am picky about the comfort level on beds, and these were extremely comfortable. We all had a wonderful time!

Quiet side of Gatlinburg

The townhouse had a fully stocked kitchen and included individually wrapped condiments, salt & pepper, and a bag of microwave popcorn. The master bedroom had a large TV, so parents and children could watch different TV programs. The entire unit was spotless and efforts were made to meet COVID requirements. Indoor pool and jacuzzi as well as fitness center were part of the resort community. Great location on the eastern side of Gatlinburg, away from much of the traffic., but close to hiking, groceries, and many restaurants.

The furniture in the living room was very uncomfortable and the ceiling fan was very dirty! The master bedroom is up a very steep stairway! It was very difficult to bring luggage upstairs! The air conditioner can not keep up during the afternoon!

Rental not up to expectations

I was not happy staying at the unit we rented. I feel like the money that was charged should have gotten us a unit that was cleaned and pest free. Upon arrival we had to request additional cleaning as surfaces and carpets were gross and clearly not cleaned. Also we found many ants and a few other unknown type bugs that we requested sprayed for two different times. The management was happy to intervene almost immediately which was nice, but again for that kind of money, I'd think a clean and pest free unit is expected up front. Also, the actual unit was dark and outdated. From the pictures supplied it looked like the second bedroom had double beds and this was not the case. I enjoyed the grounds of the resort but due to the condition of the unit, I'd probably not book again.

The property is great but do not book through vrbo or resort rental pro

We booked this room expecting a two bedroom townhome with a king size bed, two twin beds and a pull out couch. 24 hours before leaving, we found out it was not this. It was a one bedroom, one bath townhouse. Then we were assured that we could fit two twin air mattresses in the townhouse but one ended up in the kitchen and the other by the slider door to the balcony. Within 12 hours of arriving, we received a text message saying that we were not allowed to tell the resort that we booked through VRBO or the resort rental pro but was told to say a guys name, and if we didn’t, we would lose our room. The rental company told us they would refund 50% of the booking because of the switch, however we only received about 25%. Neither VRBO or Resort rental pro was willing to help solve these issues. The way they are renting this property is illegal. The resort was awesome! It had great activities and amenities.
