Definitely NOT a repeat booking
After receiving communication from VRBO encouraging us to leave a review, here is our honest feedback. First, the positives:
*The location was optimal; several miles away from the crowds, but convenient to so much.
*Check-in at Berkshire Hathaway was quick and straightforward, with plenty of info/guides.
*Our rental provided a complimentary pass to the community pool, as well as a reserved parking space in front of our unit.
*The unit was spacious, bright and sunny, and easily accommodated our family of four.
Now, the downsides:
*Upon entrance, the first thing that we experienced (lasting our entire stay) was an OVERWHELMING smell of curry that permeated the unit, especially the downstairs kitchen/living area. To live with the intense aroma for our entire stay was unpleasant.
*The cleanliness of the unit was lacking. While it appeared recently vacuumed, there was noticeable dirt on many surfaces. Something sticky on the cabinet near the refrigerator was the source of an unrelenting stream of tiny ants. Several of the utensils and cookware had some caked-on food residue on them, and potholders had thick dried-on sauce all over them.
*We found multiple used/stained linens (in kitchen and master bath), and discovered a pile of someone else’s laundry caked to the side of the washer. There was also an unwashed blanket crumpled on the closet bedroom shelf.
