While you stroll this gorgeous beach, keep your eyes posted for dolphins, pelicans, sea turtles, ospreys, spoonbills and the many species of shore birds that make our Gulf waters their home.

Island times are back again! You will find food trucks, restaurants and bars opened, live music, fresh "pink gold" shrimp, and all the natural splendor this tropical island paradise has to offer.

Take the short ride by car or the island trolley to the north end of the island to Old San Carlos Boulevard with loads of new restaurants (and some old favorites), food trucks, bars and Bayside Park. Also at the north end of the island sits Bowditch Point Park with its turtle walk and lively beach where all the boats pass on their way out to the Gulf. You can choose to go south to Lovers Key State Park, where you can hike along nature trails, canoe or kayak along estuaries and bicycle amidst the mangroves or further south to exclusive shopping centers in Bonita and Naples. Now open, Santini Marina Plaza, just across the street, will offer you shops and a marina, where you can rent a boat or kayak and explore the Great Blue Waterway and mangrove back bays! The island's major supermarket, Publix, is open, as is Snook Bight Marina with its two lively restaurants on the Bay, and is just a 2-mile drive away.

We would like to note that there is still construction occurring on the island as Fort Myers Beach rebuilds newer and stronger after Hurricane Ian. We have been hard at work to make the island beautiful again. Despite our recovery mode, we are ready to welcome visitors back and certain you will enjoy our beautifully restored, white sandy beaches and emerald, green Gulf waters.
