The estate extends over more than 7 hectares of private land, mostly planted with native vines, creating a natural amphitheatre of greenery and silence. From the historic villa and the surrounding gardens, guests enjoy wide, open views over the countryside, the vineyards and the gentle hills that slope down towards the sea.
Despite the atmosphere of complete privacy, Tenuta Vitis Aurea is just a short drive from some of the island’s best-known sights: the beaches of Citara and the Sorgeto hot springs, as well as the centre of Forio with its restaurants, cafés and boutiques. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the island and, at the same time, a quiet retreat to come back to at the end of the day.
Tenuta Vitis Aurea is a historic wine estate, recently acquired and carefully restored by a renowned family-run winery that has been producing wine on Ischia since 1888. At the centre of the property stands an elegant 18th-century palazzo, recognisable by its warm red façade, surrounded by vines, Mediterranean vegetation and ancient trees.
Inside, the villa combines original architectural details with contemporary comfort: vaulted ceilings, traditional floors and period elements blend with soft lighting, high-quality linens and a relaxing, understated design. Guests enjoy generous indoor and outdoor spaces designed for slow living, wellness and convivial moments.
The main palazzo includes four bedrooms, two inviting living areas, a fully equipped kitchen, a private wellness area and a small, beautifully preserved chapel, a quiet corner for reflection, intimate celebrations or special moments with your loved ones.
Facing the bedrooms and the spa, a large manicured lawn hosts an 8-seater outdoor jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing under the sky with a glass of wine, while children or friends enjoy the gardens and open spaces of the estate.
The private spa, for exclusive use, offers a complete sensory journey: sauna, Turkish bath, ice room, salt room and indoor jacuzzi create a circuit dedicated to deep wellbeing, inspired by the estate’s wine-therapy philosophy.
