Fingal Waves at Fingal Bay

Welcome to Fingal Waves, a family-sized holiday home based in the heart of Fingal Bay. Many families before today, have enjoyed their stay in this holiday home during various seasons throughout the year. Fingal Waves is located within a 5 minute walk to the main beach in the popular beachside/coastal destination of Fingal Bay, in Port Stephens. Bring the family or have an adult getaway, this property is perfect for all ages and compositions.

This is a dog-friendly, 3-bedroom property with an additional sleeping area off to the side of the main lounge with a double sofa bed, and a single day bed in the lounge room, plus 2 bathrooms, air conditioning, gas heating, offering free Wi-Fi.

Set for 8 Guests in total. There is room for 2 families to stay, or perfect for a couple's getaway.

Complete with room for the boat, Jet Ski and other beach toys, there is a double car garage and carport. The rear yard is fully enclosed for safety and security, with a large entertaining area with table and chairs, BBQ facilities and more to sit back and relax around the barbie on a warm summers' night.

There is a formal lounge, complete with a built-in bar area, located at the front of the house. Set with beautiful leather lounges, air conditioning, and ceiling fans for those hot summer nights and heating for the wintertime. Complimented by a large TV, with built in Chromecast, complete with the free Wi-Fi on offer, you can watch your favourite Netflix series, or sit back and watch the footy or the cricket on TV, whilst sipping your favourite drink around the bar. There is an additional rear lounge perfect for the kids to get away, set with couch and second TV.

There is a large kitchen complete with all essentials, open plan, fully equipped with all cooking facilities, microwave oven, full size fridge as well as glassware, crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils. A breakfast bar with a round meal table at the end is complete with bar stools, for additional seating for mealtime.

There is a fully functional laundry with washing machine and dryer and a large clothesline in the rear yard to hang the swimmers and towels to dry ready for the next day. A porta cot is also provided.

This property is surrounded by beaches galore, including swimming and surf beaches, you are within walking distance (500m to Fingal Bay surf/swimming beach, and within 2 kms of iconic surf beaches, including Wreck beach, Zenith beach and box beach, and the infamous swimming beaches such as Shoal Bay beach and beyond. For the perfect beach/coastal getaway, you will not be disappointed.

There is so much to see and do in this location, from taking a walk across the iconic Fingal Surf beach, to the spit, visiting the historic lighthouse on the edge of the aqua blue ocean waters, explore other equally impressive areas surrounded by the tropical waters around the peninsula, such as Birubi beach sand dunes, camel rides and quad rides, take a fishing rod to one of the many fishing hot spots, a walk along one of the many coastal walking tracks, or for the more adventurous of you, taking an iconic walk up the Tomaree headlands, all within a 2-10 minute drive from the front door.

For the more adventurous of you, taking advantage of a whale and dolphin watch cruise, departing from the D'Albora marina in Nelson Bay, hire a jet ski, surf kayak or SUP board, or simply bring your own.

Please note that this is a Holiday Accommodation that is not serviced. You will be provided with limited supplies for your first night's stay and we recommend organizing a shopping trip to pick up items like toilet tissue, shampoo, washing detergent, cooking oil, coffee, condiments, etc. for the duration of your stay.

Dusty mouldy and smellt

Over 2500 for four nights, for a family of 5.Unfortunately, the level of cleanliness and state of items in the property is poor. Mould on lamp shades and back of doors, cobwebs on walls and in corners and thick dust on the bed head, lamp shades and on skirting boards. The distinct smell of damp and mould. Several moisture absorbers scattered through did little to abate the smell.The dish drainer, toilet bin, toilet roll holder and bedside lamps are rusted and dirty.Top sheet, pillows, towels and doona were not provided for the pull out sofa & single bed in the front room. One of the children used a doona with no cover - found un opened on the shelf in the master bedroom. Wifi password provided was in the wrong case.In all the years we have been renting holiday homes this has never ever happened to us. As a former property manager in tourism and former tenancy officer for front line workers, this property should not be let out in it's current state.Very disappointed

Winter catch-up

Access to all amenities of the property greatly appreciated, especially the double garage and the enclosed backyard. Supply of linen a blessing. More than adequately catered for our 'group' of six and the dog - 5 TVs(nearly one each!). Lots of space inside and out for separate endeavours if needed. Large covered areas outside if desired. Plenty of comforts for heating and cooling inside. A good location close to the beach, local cafes and service station and away from the 'crowds'. A good venue for a quiet holiday.

Perfect relaxed environment

My family and I had the most relaxing time at this property. Lots of living space to spread out in, lovely back yard, secure fence for the dog and everything we needed in the kitchen. Just a short walk to the beach and the best fish and chips cafe. Also very practical things like an outdoor shower and great clothes line. We couldn’t ask for more. Thanks for having us, we will be back.
