„This has been an absolute enjoyable stay in a cosy, well equipped lodge!“

„Wir waren 2 Wochen auf der abgelegenen Farm und haben die Ruhe sehr genossen. Man hört natürlich gelegentlich die Schafe. Das Haus bietet ausreichend Platz und ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Garten ist wunderschön. Bis nach Keswick fährt man ca. 15 Minuten mit dem Auto. Matthew, der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich. We spent 2 weeks on the outlying farm and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Of course you can hear the sheep occasionally. The house offers plenty of space and is lovingly furnished. ...

„The location is just outstanding. If you like hiking you can start right off your doorstep, on the foot of the great Skiddaw. The sheep greeted me in the morning and the view toward Derwent Water is lovely. “

„Unfortunately our booked apartment accommodation was unavailable due to a gas leak. However, we were moved to a nice double room and given free breakfast to make up for this. We were also offered 50 % of dinner but the available dining slots were extremely limited so couldn't use that. It was a very comfy hotel, with a great shower, a pleasant mile walk to Keswick. I'd definitely stay again“

„Da wir mit dem Auto unterwegs waren, war diese zentral gelegene Ferienwohnung mit Parkplatz ideal. Leider verfügt sie nicht über einen Geschirrspüler und der Vormieter verfügt offenbar über wenig Talent beim Abwaschen. Deshalb mussten wir alles, was wir in der Küche nutzen wollten, zunächst noch einmal selbst abwaschen. “

„We spent a week in this pleasant and tastefully decorated cottage and felt very comfortable. The welcome was very friendly and we received many useful tips. The cottage was as described and was very clean, spacious and equipped with everything you need as a self-caterer. The view from the living room with its large windows on the valley and the sheep pasture was very nice and could be enjoyed with a cup of tea even in the rain. We recommend the cottage 100 percent!“

„Very nice place, we felt like at home here. Everything was clean. The apartment has everything you need, you can cook, you can relax. The town is beautiful. Shops literally across the street. Cheap parking right next to the apartment. The owners are very helpful and answer all questions very quickly. I would definitely go back to this place and I highly recommend it. Thank you for a nice stay.“

„We arrived early so had a drink in the bar, check in was at 4 but they started to let people check in at 15:40, it was smooth and there were no issues, the lady was friendly and very helpful. As we got to the lodge the main entrance was covered in bird poo, that had definitely been left there a while, we did notice 3 nest right above the door which could not be help but it was obvious there had been no attempt to clean the poo, we went back to reception and showed them photos to which we were ...

„Keswick Reach was a lovely place to stay and very secluded... too secluded for us. Our car broke down on day 3 of a 5 day stay. We were left solely dependent on what little food we had, what the shop sold and what the restaurant served. We found the shop lacked items like bacon, sausages, bread, etc but had a lot of sweets and crisps. It is far from other shops so we expected more. My dad can't have cheese as it sets his heart out of rhythm, so he could only have garlic bread when it was pizza ...

Hunday Manor Country House Hotel

"Das Hotel ist eine Baustelle, von Außen steht ein Baugerüst, das Dach und einige Zimmer werden erneuert! Leider kam uns das Hotel keiner Weise entgegen trotzdem ein Mitarbeiter von Expedia hier angerufen hat ( anderes Zimmer oder Preisnachlass). Zimmer sind aber ok, teilweise schon renoviert. Die Lage und der Ausblick sind super , Essen relativ teuer! 😒"

"Haben einen der 5 Parkplätze direkt am Haus (kostenlos) erhalten; bei Traumwetter (Sonne) im hauseigenen Biergarten auf den Check-In gewartet; Zimmer No 4 übertraf unsere Erwartungen und auch die Jaccuzi-Badewanne funktionierte. Ausgesprochen freundlicher Service, Sektkühler mit Eis für Getränke auf dem Zimmer erhalten und alles mit einem Lächeln. Sehr schön!"

"Außenanlagen, äußeres Erscheinungsbild sehr gepflegt, sehr schönes, viktorianischesGebäude. Fenster nur minimal zu öffnen, Aussicht auf Mülltonnen, Badezimmer renovierungsbedürftig. Abendessen, 3- Gang- Menu akzeptabel, aber Preis- Leistungs - Verhältnis stimmt nicht. Die oben angeführten Kritikpunkte werden wahrscheinlich relativiert bei schönem Wetter durch die landschaftlich herrliche Umgebung und die damit verbundenen vielfältigen Freizeitmöglichkeiten Wir hatten bei unserem Aufenthalt im August leider das Pech wegen des extrem schlechten Wetters - ca 14 Grad, Regen und starkem Wind- praktisch nichts im Freien unternehmen zu können. "
