„Wir waren 2 Wochen auf der abgelegenen Farm und haben die Ruhe sehr genossen. Man hört natürlich gelegentlich die Schafe. Das Haus bietet ausreichend Platz und ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Garten ist wunderschön. Bis nach Keswick fährt man ca. 15 Minuten mit dem Auto. Matthew, der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich. We spent 2 weeks on the outlying farm and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Of course you can hear the sheep occasionally. The house offers plenty of space and is lovingly furnished. ...

„We spent a week in this pleasant and tastefully decorated cottage and felt very comfortable. The welcome was very friendly and we received many useful tips. The cottage was as described and was very clean, spacious and equipped with everything you need as a self-caterer. The view from the living room with its large windows on the valley and the sheep pasture was very nice and could be enjoyed with a cup of tea even in the rain. We recommend the cottage 100 percent!“

„We arrived early so had a drink in the bar, check in was at 4 but they started to let people check in at 15:40, it was smooth and there were no issues, the lady was friendly and very helpful. As we got to the lodge the main entrance was covered in bird poo, that had definitely been left there a while, we did notice 3 nest right above the door which could not be help but it was obvious there had been no attempt to clean the poo, we went back to reception and showed them photos to which we were ...

„We really enjoyed our stay! The listing said it had a hot tub but when we arrived it didn’t. I read after that the external company listed it incorrectly. The only down side was the property wasn’t cleaned very well - old used contact lenses around the desk and bedside table and there was hairs on the bathroom shelf. I did a quick clean myself and throughly enjoyed the rest of our week the location was perfect and our lodge was next to the pond which was lovely.“

„A lovely, well equipped cottage in a gorgeous area. The cottage had all you woukd need for your stay. Cockermouth is a gorgeous place, that is well supplied by the array of shops, restaurants, bars and takeaways.“

„Larger rooms and property than expected with a huge kitchen , central heating and every thing you would need to self cater. Quiet location with gated parking. Greatest views of Ireby and Uldale fells, and 100mtrs walk to the breattaking views of the Solway. Do not have any hesitation of this great propery but be aware you are close to all tourist locations but is a great getaway for walks, etc. One slifht issue, not reLly worth mentioning is that the grass needed cutting and the cumbrian ...

"Das Hotel ist eine Baustelle, von Außen steht ein Baugerüst, das Dach und einige Zimmer werden erneuert! Leider kam uns das Hotel keiner Weise entgegen trotzdem ein Mitarbeiter von Expedia hier angerufen hat ( anderes Zimmer oder Preisnachlass). Zimmer sind aber ok, teilweise schon renoviert. Die Lage und der Ausblick sind super , Essen relativ teuer! 😒"

"Lovely staff, always friendly and helpful. We had a couple of issues which were quickly and efficiently dealt with. Be aware, if travelling with older people you may want to book an executive room which are located on the ground floor, it being an old building other floors can be difficult! Breakfast was also lovely, even catering for my Vegan tastes! Thank you all again!"

"Haben einen der 5 Parkplätze direkt am Haus (kostenlos) erhalten; bei Traumwetter (Sonne) im hauseigenen Biergarten auf den Check-In gewartet; Zimmer No 4 übertraf unsere Erwartungen und auch die Jaccuzi-Badewanne funktionierte. Ausgesprochen freundlicher Service, Sektkühler mit Eis für Getränke auf dem Zimmer erhalten und alles mit einem Lächeln. Sehr schön!"
