„Food , drink and staff were really good. Room was very clean but very noisy could here people in next room even their conversation and our room was at the front so constant traffic noise , lots of lorry’s going by. The double bed in our room (4) was very uncomfortable could feel the springs so not much sleep. Breakfast was interesting bought to your room in a basket ! “

„It’s so hard to find the quintessential English pub these days but the shoulder of mutton hits the spot. The food was home cooked and great, not prepackaged Pub was clean, no damp or mould The view from the beer garden was amazing overlooking the valley The room was Pub basic but clean and not mouldy. „The B&B was amazing We stayed in the annexe which was like home from home Extremely well equipped and furnished to a very very high standard with everything and more than you could hope for The breakfast was very tasty 5 stars and more for the Hill If you are visiting the high force waterfalls like we did I would highly encourage and recommend that you stay at the Hill B&B “

„It is impossible to overstate the standard of the Wensleydale Heifer. The awards affirm the restaurant quality and the standard of accommodation. What they do not evidence is the attention to detail that every member of staff personifies. This is the first opportunity we have had to stay at the Heifer, although we have eaten here before. The hotel was everything we hoped for and will become our "go to" place in the Dales. Thank you for a memorable stay!“

„Staff were kind and friendly. Food was good in the bar but over priced. My room was grubby, the bedding and bathroom were clean but there was dust and dirt on the ledges and windowsills. No shower gel in the bathroom either. I was also above the kitchen there was lots of banging about outside and a constant humming/droning from what sounded like extractor fans. This did stop around 9pm but then started up again at 10pm. It was really quite loud, I could still hear it when I had my headphones ...

„Really lovely quaint hotel! Staff are amazing and go above and beyond!! Thank you to Laura, Paul and the wonderful chef!! Please note, this is a very old building and doesn’t have all the mod cons of a modern property. Bed linen and towels were lovely and clean. There is tea and coffee in the room and you may request additional items if you need them. Beer garden is amazing with lovely views. There are TVs to watch sport. „The room was clean enough but the shower room had streaks down the paint and signs of mildew. There was some discarded cigarettes by our bedroom door that a previous occupant must have left but housekeeping never removed them before or during our stay. Food in the restaurant was decent but the service was slow and we had to ask several times over for jugs of water to be brought to our table, too.
