Verbesserungswürdig: Sauberkeit, Ausstattung und Zustand der Unterkunft
The room was very run down and dirty. There was hair on the bathroom floor (which appeared hadn't been swept before our stay), the walls were scuffed, dirty, paint peeling, the bathroom was in deplorable condition - paint peeling and rusty hinges, watermarks on the walls. The showerhead hadn't been cleaned and was full of sediment which restricted the water flow, the drainplug wouldn't stay down so a person could take a bath. The heater was extremely noisy making it difficult to sleep and would only run for 6 minutes to heat the room and then it cooled off quickly and ran again 15 minutes later. The available TV stations didn't include the lower number stations which were mostly news channels which are the ones we most commonly watch. The station number indicated on the screen was not the station that the TV was tuned to so the station guide provided was useless.
The parking lot was a thick sheet of ice with holes up to 10 inches deep indicating that the owners didn't regularly remove the snow so it built up, thawed, refroze and was very dangerous to navigate. Simply put, the owners did not do any much-needed maintenance and upkeep to the property and we will never stay at this hotel again!
Not only that, but this reflects very poorly on Travelodge, in general and we will be very hesitant to stay at a Travelodge hotel in the future unless I see very positive reviews. We expected much better from a recognized hotel chain than what we experienced!!
