We arrived at 6pm to check in and were told that they didn’t have a room ready for us unless we wanted to switch the type of room from 2 queens to a king with pull out. This was not really a great option as we had 4 adults. They asked us to wait and gave us a $25 voucher that was only good for food in the restaurant. We waited the 30 minutes and were then asked to wait another 10 minutes because they had to change a light bulb. All of this was fine until we got to our room and it was warm so we turned the temp down. We left for a couple of hours and upon returning to the room it was still warm but cool air was coming out so we assumed it would get better. We also tried to use the food voucher but the restaurant was sold out of pizza and a couple other things. The room never cooled down and upon asking about it Sunday they told us they could switch us or give us fan. We took the fan because we were leaving for an event and did not have time to switch all of our things. If this had been just an issue with our room I could understand a little more however the other people we were with had the same thing and we were on the same floor. I stayed in a Double Tree 3 weeks prior in the Cherry Creek area and had a great experience, I was definitely disappointed in this location but will still stay with the Double Tree brand.
