Siblings Weekend
Booked this rental for our twice a year get together of my brothers/sisters. We traveled from SC, GA and Fla.I can start by saying that there was a review posted about a week or so before we arrived on 4/27/25. It had made mention of the kitchen pots/pans were sub par for cooking, hardly enough silverware for their group etc. That was an understatement. We had to go and purchase new skillets due to the unusable condition of the ones in the kitchen. The other mention of the previous renters was that the pool was a problem during their stay. When we arrived, the pool was green and the water level was too low for it to even reach the skimmer. I immediately reached out to the management group and they sent someone out. He had to add water, a bunch of chemicals and tried to scrub the green algae off the sides of the pool. Needless to say, the pool was not fit for swimming. It got a little better on Friday, but still not swimmable. On Saturday we went out and bought our own “shock” to hopefully get it clean enough to swim. It was finally clear on the day we checked out. Our takeaway from the house was that the inside was nice, plenty of room. But the biggest takeaway was that the house does not look like the advertised pictures. It is badly in need of maintenance. There other issues inside that just basic maintenance would fix (as the pictures below will show).Hope this helps with other families booking off of pictures, and then arriving to something completely different.
