Dieses schöne Haus (nur 4 Jahre alt!) befindet sich im Herzen des historischen Stadtviertels von Daufuskie und ist perfekt für Besucher, die das Leben der Insel auf unserer besonderen Insel erleben möchten. Besucher sind nur einen kurzen Spaziergang von der historischen Kirche von Daufuskie, von der Mary Fields School (heute unser Gemeinschaftszentrum mit einem Café und dem Daufuskie Blues-Geschäft) und vom historischen Francis Jones House entfernt. Die Beach Road ist gleich um die Ecke und der beste Strand der Insel ist nur 5 Minuten mit dem Golfwagen entfernt. Wonderful location and lovely place to stay

My family and I vacationed here for a week, and we enjoyed every moment. The home, property, and location were excellent. It was just a short walk to the coffee shop and right next to the road that leads straight to the beach. The Check in and out process was easy, and the communication from the property manager was thorough and friendly. We would love to come back again soon!

Cozy, Clean and Private

This was our second time staying in this cottage. We love the beachy charm and cleanliness. Most of all, we prized the privacy of the location - tucked back off School Road. Sitting around the firepit at night is so relaxing as is taking a nap on the swinging bed on the screened in porch. Management was attentive to our needs and readily available if needed. Can't wait to return!

We had a wonderful time on Daufuski Island. The house was wonderful. It was very clean and had all of the starting amenities needed. Wonderful getaway!

This was my family’s fifth time staying at DaFuskie Dreams, and our 6th visit to DI. The home is the perfect size for our family and a great location, just a short cart ride to the beach. Very private, clean, and maintained. We LOVE relaxing on the porch swing. Host is very responsive and informative. Always a great stay!

The Dreams house was everything we needed and more. The well-stocked kitchen allowed me to cook meals for our family all week. There were books sharing the history of Daufuskie. Nice location, very quick cart ride to the beach. The best part about our stay, though was Deb. She was incredibly helpful when the power went out on our first night and was very responsive to any needs we had all week. 10/10 would recommend this property!

This property was good, but has the potential to be really, really great. Deb, the property manager, was wonderful. She called us the day before to assist with any last minute travel arrangements. She also met us at the property upon our arrival, and texted us various eating options throughout the week. She was kind and very responsive. The location of the home is great. Very private and lots of outdoor space. My kids and dog enjoy exploring outside. There is a great opportunity to increase overall experience of this home as cleanliness was definitely a factor. The first day, we found a dirty hand towel which Deb immediately apologized and offered us a nominal credit which was appreciated. After that, we found several other cleanliness issues throughout the week. We didn't want to keep bothering Deb, although I'm sure she would have taken care of them. Instead, we did forward her a list of the issues after checkout so they can be fixed for next time. Deb shared that the house is scheduled for a deep clean next week so the next guests will get to enjoy it even more. Once the cleanliness and linen issues are corrected, this property will truly be 5+ stars.

We really enjoyed our stay on Daufuskie! It’s definitely a laid back, relaxing environment. The beaches are really remote! No touristy crowds! The house was absolutely beautiful. Comfortable, clean, adorably decorated. Deb was extremely helpful as well. Ask a lot of questions before you journey to the island…everyone is willing to help. I would highly advise using the private water taxis and packing whatever you want! Bring groceries to cook and enjoy on the deck.

We loved our stay in the little cottage in the woods! It was so cute and cozy! The house was clean and Deb was very kind and helpful. The bed/swing got a lot of use whether for relaxing, reading, or napping! The ride to the beach seemed to get shorter and shorter as our stay went on! The location within walking distance to the coffee shop was so convenient! Our drives around the island on our cart were so much fun and we loved exploring! 40th birthday weekend

The house was perfect. Excellent use of space. The house isn't huge but we had 8 adults, a 9 year old and a baby and there was plenty of space. Three bathrooms were a great help. We spent every night sitting on the giant screened in porch playing games and catching up with each other. My husband said it was his best birthday ever.

Truly relaxing vacation

We felt right at home on the island and in our beach house. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a few meals "at home" and we also enjoyed the couple of restaurants on the island. Perfect getaway

Thank you for making this wonderful house available on VRBO. Our family had the opportunity to spend a week here, and the only thing we regret was not staying longer. We loved the property - it's exactly how it appears in the photos - even better! If we weren't on the beach or exploring, we spent most of our time on the beautiful porch. There is plenty of seating and the bed/swing was our favorite. Our three boys and dog had plenty of space to run around in the yard, and they loved the outdoor shower! Everyone had a great time.

Family “Girl’s” Trip

My sister and her 2 daughters decided we wanted to take a girls trip for the youngest niece’s 51st birthday and go somewhere we hadn’t been before. We chose Daufuskie Island for the peace and quiet. When looking for a place to stay I ran across this property and loved it immediately. The cute porch, the nice layout, fire pit, everything looked perfect. And it was! Cottage was clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities you could ask for. Beds were comfy and living area roomy. The upstairs loft stairs were very steep so my nieces offered to sleep there on the daybed and futon. They said both were comfortable. Unfortunately we were unable to use fire pit due to the weather but it was nice. We brought water but water from faucet taste fine. There was an ice maker in freezer that produced lots of ice. TV was easy to operate but we didn’t watch it much. There were games supplied but both the Yahtzee and Monopoly had lots of pieces missing. Note to owner: you might want to go through and replace games or get rid of any that are not “playable”. I would have brought games from home had I known that we couldn’t use what was at the rental. Also, a DVD would be really nice on a rainy day. Also, the cottage notebook needs to be updated. A lot of the info provided is no longer accurate due to Covid. Back to rental! It was just wonderful and we plan on going back. Due to Covid and other issues, at here are very few choices for eating out so DO bring food if your staying for a full week. If only staying for 2 or 3 days, enjoy lunch at Lucy Bells and dinner at Daufuskie Crab Co. Do try to visit all the sites and enjoy the laid back atmosphere!!
