„Older property but well maintained.“

„Hotel is not maintained well. Room is more or less clean. Only little dust. Everywhere scratches at the wall. Not working lamps. Mold in the shower as the air system is not working well in the bathroom. Restaurant is a desaster. The food is ok - nothing special. But the staff is not capable at all to manage the restaurant. Dirty tables, long waiting times, do not remember what you have ordered. And the restaurant is expensive on top. Never again.“

We informed before that we arrive around 11 pm. Nobody was available at reception to welcome us and show our rooms. „Das B&B liegt in einem Wohnquartier in ca. 15-minütiger Gehdistanz bis ins Stadtzentrum. Parkplatz direkt beim Haus. Herzlicher Empfang, komfortable Zimmer, leckeres Frühstück. Wir kommen gerne wieder.“

„Leider hat mich Guest House, das früher laut Beschriftung an der Vorderfront ein Hotel war, enttäuscht. Das Frühstücksgeschirr war nicht sauber, die Bettwäsche hatte Flecken und der Luster lt. Foto hatte schon bessere Zeiten“

„Unfortunately another disappointing night at the Inn. Went for a meal, again staffing issues with chefs resulting in quite a few things not being available. I thought there was a wedding function going on as every now and then loud music would blast through the restaurant area but it was just the music coming from the kitchen area as the doors swung open and closed. Sadly in need of a makeover.“

„Great hospitality! Very tasty breakfast that you can select the night before from a menu card in your room. Terry was very welcoming and helpful. Would stay there again! A very brief walk from the Dumfries station.“
