This property sits on 1 acre of land with breathtaking mountain and ocean views, just a one-minute drive to downtown Comox. Nestled within Goose Spit Park, it is surrounded by three other parks and a marina.

The home boasts two kitchens, five bedrooms with 2 king beds and 3 queen beds, plus a den with no windows that houses a queen bed. The lower level living room includes a queen sofa bed, making it an ideal spot for large family gatherings.

Overall our stay was pleasant. The wifi didn’t work for the first day and it’d be nice to have a teapot in the kitchen. The garden has the potential to be beautiful and the lack of care on the outside of the building and property are disappointing and inadequate for outdoor activities and summer time.

Power went off due to lack of payment so we were without power for about 8 hours until we got it figured out but the water had to be reset manually and the door to the room was locked and they could not tell us where the key was so someone came the next morning to do it. It was not a good experience to be without water travelling with 2 small children, 2 teenagers and 6 adults. Pretty sad that you have to go to the local mall to use the washrooms

Very disappointing.

The owners really need to do some basic maintenance, upkeep etc. There were safety issues - for example: the front deck has several 'soft' spots where the wood is broken and your foot starts to fall through. Numerous things were broken - towel rack falling off, lamp switches broken, closet handles broken so not able to open, broken furniture. They specifically advertised the view - however, the view from the living room was blocked by an unsealed window that's fogged up and you can't see through it, yard was overgrown and had garbage and random items strewn around it, screen door was broken and not working. The furnishings and decorations were haphazard, very old, worn and random - almost like they picked up whatever they could get for free or from Salvation army. It's really a shame because the location is wonderful and at least the cleaning staff did a good job on the inside of the house. I messaged the owner who said they were having trouble with the app and took a couple days to return, said that the price was standard to the area (hmmmm..that would be for MUCH nicer places). The neighbours in the area also commented on how the house and yard is falling apart and not being cared for.

The home was a nice size for our group. The cover photo is of a neighbouring property, ditto the photo of lawn picnic blankets. The grounds for this home were not mowed/maintained. We were comfortable, but would have appreciated better stocked kitchen equipment, better maintenance/cleanliness of home.

Property is poorly maintained, pictures on the listing don’t show actual state . Old beddings, not enough towels, supplies, our bed creaked every time we moved, couch downstairs broken, Tv downstairs does not work. Grounds around house also not maintained.

Could be great.....but too many negatives

The space was great for our group. The house needs a thorough clean the bathrooms and kitchen were OK but the House felt dirty and lacked finishing touches. It would be nice to have matching bed linen rather than mismatched in the rooms , towels seemed old not all the bedside lamps work. The lounge areas need to accommodate the group size if you can sleep 12/14 then we should all be able to sit comfortably rather than one sofa and dining chairs . The table should extend to accommodate the group we had to move the kitchen table into the lounge and put the insert in which was really dirty. The oven had been sprayed with oven cleaner but never cleaned and most of the pots and pans were greasy and we had to wash them before use. Again it was a mismatch of old bits and pieces. We felt like we were scrambling around to make it work for our group. We had to buy glasses as no wine glasses in the cupboards. It would be nice to have Manuals for the appliances . The outside space again could be great but it just looked neglected there was rubbish scattered around old bits and pieces of junk and dog poo it is nothing like the pictures.One of the lovely picture window seals has gone so it's misted taking away the great view.It wouldn't take much effort to make this a great rental ,it needs some TLC in all areas.I had booked the rental for a family reunion and just wished it lived up to the expectation . I did message the host as she asked for my review but no response, so here it is
