„lovely period building / very Emily Brontë :-) Owners were very helpful and the rooms pleasant. Parking is a little convoluted as you have to go to the house collect the parking voucher and return to the car and do the same on departure but the car park is only a few minutes walk away. “

„Tidy hotel the other side of Llangollen which resulted in a hairaising approach in our low slung car along very wiggly roads (we found an easier B road via Chirk later! ) This hotel is situated in a quiet village and we slept well both nights. Our room was huge, clean, well decorated with lovely fixtures and fittings offering plenty of storage. „Ich verbrachte eine Nacht im HandHotel. Sehr schöne schicke Eingangshalle mit Bar. Das Zimmer war dann aber sehr einfach. Die Tapete bröselte teils und mein Fenstervorhang lies sich nur notdürftig öffnen. Insgesamt ein dem Zweck dienliches Hotel, aber so richtig gemütlich ist es nicht mehr. Hatte sicher einmal mehr Glanz, heute auf den zweiten Blick etwas veraltet. Das ist ist gut. Personal bemüht und meist freundlich.“

„The hotel is situated in a beautiful area. The small village has 1 or 2 dinner possibilities around the market place and is charming - at least the center is. The hotel could use a lick of paint here ant there and you see that the owners do their best, but the castle is very large and surely there is much to do. „The hotel was okay. There was just one thing. I'm not saying that I'm small but far from overly fat, however could not manage to sit on the toilet comfortably. The toilet is squeezed into the corner and to make matters worse the toilet paper rolls are fixed to the wall that is already too close.“
