„Nice clean room. The private balcony had a great view and was really cool in the early morning but it was too hot to use the rest of the day while we were there...temps in the 90's. We love this area and had previously stayed at The Evening Shade a few times and next door at Carters Lodge. We were really sad that one is gone and the other boarded up. „We loved our stay in this perfect treehouse! The accommodations were clean and inviting, with lots of thoughtful touches tucked throughout the property (I won’t give them away here!). The hosts were wonderful, friendly, and made communication a breeze. Location is great, and will only continue to improve as Chimney Rock continues to rebuild from Helene. Speaking of Chimney Rock, the property was perfectly positioned for getting to the park for hiking, and had beautiful views from below. And ...

„We loved the view from the porch, the beautiful more old-fashioned rooms, amazing friendly owners and staff and lots of things to see and do in the nearer surrounding! A pool and a lovely grill area make it even more a place to feel good and enjoy. We have not been disturbed by the street at all. The property is quite old and at some points you can see it. But that just makes it even more charming. “

„I am assuming because of Hurricane Helene, like the rest of Lake Lure area, this place flooded. Our problem was that there was a strong odor coming from the basement. They sprayed something into the air to cover it, but it was awful. We had to leave a day early because it was just too much. I hated to write this review because we love Lake Lure, but sadly it was hit hard and they are still in recovery, not just them but the whole area.“

„We stayed in a suite that was very clean and well keep. Good location to local activities and events. The down side for me was the breakfast. I like to a breakfast that offers scrambled eggs and either sausage or bacon. But, it was a very good place to stay. I would recommend it.“
