"Old style country manor in a beautiful location and setting in the Ayrshire countryside. Staff very friendly and some of the public areas were beautiful (Grand Staircase a particular highlight) Breakfast buffet was also well worth the money, although the room was not the easiest to get to. BUT - the bedrooms need serious updating. Cleanliness was good but not great, floorboards creaked all over the place, bed was uncomfortable, bathroom had cracked tiles al over the place, one window was draughty and didn’t lock, and the bedroom in general felt like it was stuck in the 1980s. Such a shame and a stark contrast to the rest of the building. Would visit again just for the setting though."

"The Marine Troon offers nice rooms with Victorian charm and great views, we especially enjoyed the phenomenally friendly and attentive staff and great food in the bar and restaurants. Also a great place to stay with your dog. "

"The hotel is located inside a shopping mall, which made it a bit challenging to find the entrance, especially when walking back in the evening. The lack of sidewalks on the other side of the hotel and the main road, which is busy with cars, made navigating the area even more difficult. However, the room was comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed."
