„Als Deutsche haben wir andere Ansprüche an Hotels als wahrscheinlich mancher Amerikaner. Nachdem wir das Zimmer gesehen haben, haben wir uns entschlossen, das Zimmer zu stornieren. Es hat nach Chlorreiniger gerochen und ein ca 10 cm langer Tausendfüßler machte sich in der Küche zu schaffen. Die Rezeptionistin war aber sehr freundlich. Wir wissen nun, dass ein Hotel in den USA mindestens 100 USD kostet.“

„We absolutely loved our stay at the Thornwald Mansion. It is nicely secluded in a park yet you are within walking distance to Dickinson College and a shopping center. The property has outstanding amenities and the food selections at breakfast were delicious. The service exceeded our expectations. The room and the bed were comfortable and very quiet. This mansion went under fire and then was rebuilt by the current owner from the ground up paying attention to detail and preserving its history. The ...

„Property had been renovated and is in great condition. The hotel was pretty much fully booked. Price was competitive for such a nice place to stay. Until they zapped me with a pet fee. That hurts going in and out! NYC is half; Newport RI a third; Hampton half; Marriott are you kidding for dog: I doubt I’ll use Marriott again unless no other choice, plus your gardens are full of weeds and grass hasn’t been cut for a month.“
