„We stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely time. Our large room had a comfy 4 poster bed, table, chairs in the bay window. Bathroom had large fluffy towels, lots of hot water. The views from both windows overlooked the well manicured grounds with benches, fabulous flowers in baskets and trees Breakfast was tasty with vegetarian options. The Eggs royale was excellent. Inn was clean, tastefully decorated with friendly efficient staff. “

„Das Hotel hat dringend eine Renovation nötig. Das Zimmer war noch am besten in Schuss. Der Poolbereich war nicht so sauber bzw. Sehr in die Jahre gekommen (die Decke blätterte ab). Auch das Restaurant war renovationsbedürftig. Die Teller und das Besteck beim Morgenessen war nie ganz sauber. Zum übernachten ganz ok, aber definitiv nicht top. “

"Das Hotel hat dringend eine Renovation nötig. Das Zimmer war noch am besten in Schuss. Der Poolbereich war nicht so sauber bzw. Sehr in die Jahre gekommen (die Decke blätterte ab). "Classy Hotel in an 18th Century Georgian architectural landmark which was saved by the Hotel Company. Went there first on a rushed business trip and went back half a year later to enjoy it finally with my partner. The pool is warm and not exactly for a sporty swimmer, but is nice with the opportunity to swim outdoors. Beds and Breakfast are excellent and up to the price. After finding the south of England more and more crowded, the Peak District is an area I was happy to discover."

"This Hilton has rooms which are clean and quiet, beds are good but no option to ventilate the room. The restaurant facilities can’t be worse: at opening time of the restaurant we ordered food and 10 minutes later you are told to order something else because they ran out of it. As we had chosen something else, the response was: “Is THAT all, you want nothing else?” In a very arrogant way. Then they even expect a tip afterwards. During Checkout, the receptionists were unable to produce an invoice. I wanted to know how much and for what I would be charged. This was the wrong question as the receptionist in jogging-trousers became very unfriendly. This is not what I’m used to experience in a Hilton Hotel!"

War sicherlich mal was Besonderes

"Vorab, es war sauber. Jedoch kein Zimmerservice. WLAN kostet extra7€. Ebenso die angegebene Sauna und der Parkplatz. Die Fenster sind einfach verglast und beim Frühstück laufen zwei Durchlauf Toaster. Das tut schon fast weh was die Umwelt angeht. Die Einrichtung ist brauchbar jedoch nicht hochwertig."
