The property itself was a home from home. It was both well stocked and clean. A few cleaning supplies were offered by the host which was helpful. A few of the areas of improvement: the fridge freezer was leaking quite a lot when we arrived, perhaps it had just been turned on? The surround of the pool was pretty dangerous with uneven decking. A trip hazard which is waiting for someone to hurt themselves - or fall in the pool. The concrete floor outside got very slippery when people had been in the pool but thankfully noone was injured. Lastly, the rugs are pretty slippery in the house but we just rolled them up and put them out of the way for us. The key system meant we had to stay together as a group rather than come and go as we pleased. Not a bother for us and our stay, but some families may find this a problem. All of the mosquito devices didn't work for us and this was something that I had not thought about ahead of our trip. Bring insect repellent! Highlights: The location is just outside of Bordeaux city centre. A close 10 minutes walkto the tram lines, supermarket and bakery and it was both quiet and private. The pool was refreshing in the hotter weather and the rooms were nice and spacious. Kitchen was well stocked. The lady who met us was so welcoming and friendly although she did not own the house, she was brilliant.
