„First time visiting Maine and Acadia, and Summerwood Cottage was simply perfect for our needs. The location is wonderful and everything in the cottage has been thoughtfully considered. It was great to prepare our own meals from time to time, and we found everything we needed was on hand. It was amazing to be able to be in the peace and beauty of Acadia, yet just a short drive from restaurants, etc. in Bar Harbor. We highly recommend this cottage and would love to return one day!“

„The location is awesome overlooking the bay. This was a last minute vrbo selection for us and we could not have been happier. Looking out the windows to view the boats and harbor was like a post card of Maine come true. Although it was just the two of us, the house can easily accommodate 6 people. 2 bathrooms are always a bonus. Communication with the property management was excellent.“

„We drove from Missouri with our 37 foot trailer not realizing all the parks for camping would be closed. We almost turned back but decided to leave our trailer in Old Orchard Beach and on a whim, found this lovely peaceful retreat for our brief visit to Acadia National Park. We saw ANP in a day, even hiked. When we came back to our rental the pond was glass like conditions so we pulled our own kayaks onto the water (even though they have plenty of boats for the offering) for a sweet float. The ...

Desert Island was good for us. We had easy access to Acadia National Park and could drop into the busyness of Bar Harbor when we wanted that experience.“
