The Capra Saas-Fee is a beautiful 5-star hotel, but for us it simply didn’t live up to the hype, especially considering the price. The hotel itself is lovely, but the service didn’t feel particularly personalised or attentive. We even had to ask three times for our cable car passes. First, they had the wrong email address despite us providing it at check-in; then, even after correcting it, nothing came through. We ultimately had to insist on having the passes printed so we could actually use them. If you’re coming mainly for the spa, I’d think twice: with only 24 rooms and just 8 loungers around the pool, the spa area felt crowded and the loungers were constantly occupied. Even basic amenities, such as warm tea, weren’t replenished regularly. Breakfast is fully à la carte, which is a nice concept, and we loved the little cake left in our room on arrival. However, the pastries at breakfast felt pre-made, and there was very little in terms of cakes or biscuits. The restaurant is good, but definitely book in advance. Our room was also disappointing in terms of the view, we mainly looked directly onto the building in front of us. Overall, it’s a nice hotel and certainly deserves its 5-star status, but for the price, we expected a much more refined and personalised experience. In short: overpriced for what you get and, in our opinion, not worth the hype.

Geweldig uitzicht op de Mont Blanc, locatie is super. Ook fijn voor de kinderen dat ze hun eigen ‘kamer’ hadden (eentje op de mezzanine). Wat ik qua inventaris miste was wat meer kastruimte, een wasmachine en een vriesvak.
