„Great overnight stop with the most friendly and helpful of staff. Facilities excellent and being able to bring our dog was so good. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast options were just right for us. Will definitely stay again. The price was also the best value for money you could ask for. Could not recommend more.“

„Schönes Hotel, wenn auch das Bad etwas altmodisch ist. Allerdings bin ich stinksauer, weil man mir nach drm Auschecken eine Rechnung für das Frühstück geschickt hat. Ich hatte es beim Einchecken nachgebucht! Das ist kein Kunden. “

„Die Zimmer und das Hotel sind sehr renovierungsbedürftig. Hotel liegt direkt an der A19. Das Fenster zur A19 ist nur einfach verglast, so dass der Lärm der Autobahn deutlich zu hören ist.“

„The staff were very friendly, showed us everything on arrival. The room wasn’t quite clean, I guess it’s just a question of how old it is😅 The hot tub was amazing except the fact of it smelling bleach very bad, so be prepared (it was clean though) A big thank you for the Happy Birthday pennant banner.“

„ Room on ground floor with 3 windows facing the car park, very hot, no possibility to change to „cooler“ room, bathroom ok, breakfast fine, building magnificent. Wall picture came off in the middle of the night startling us half to death, broken glass all over the floor.“

„Very comfortable guest house. Anna, the Manager, was very welcoming and helpful. We had a spacious and very homely room. Very convenient and with free parking. About a 15 minute walk into Durham (downhill, so uphill coming back!). Breakfast was excellent. Didn't particularly rate the attached Indian restaurant though - the one and only FoH chap was not that friendly, and food was okay but nothing special.“

„Sehr schönes altes Hotel mit einem Großen Garten/kleinen Park. Sehr ruhig gelegen und ein sehr freundliches Personal. Man fühlt sich immer willkommen und geschätzt. Leider sieht man den Zimmern das Alter an. Sie werden zwar offenbar immer in Stand gesetzt aber man sieht eben doch das Alter. War trotzdem ein gelungener Aufenthalt. Gern wieder. “

"Das erste Zimmer war total abgewohnt, dreckig und stank. Gottseidank bekamen wir auf Grund der defekten Toilettenspülung ein Zimmer gegenüber. Es war quasi ein Upgrade (Seaview). „Normal“ sauber (zumindest keine Flecken auf Sofa und Teppich), Kühlschrank und Ventilator. Durch die Seeseite aber auch laut (Straße und Strandpromenade). Egal wo man herging musste man immer ein paar Treppen laufen. Außerdem am letzten Ende."
