„Really nice hotel set in beautiful grounds. Very comfortable and good sized room. All the staff I encountered during my stay were helpful and friendly. Food was lovely as well. All in all a very nice few days. Booked in again for my next business trip to Derby. Would definitely recommend to others.“

„We used The Family Tree hotel/b&b as a stop over on the way to Bath. The place was superb… very clean, good facilities in the room, with a hearty and delicious breakfast. The off street parking in also very convenient. Additionally the staff were helpful, friendly and polite. Thx for a lovely stay“

„The Hotelis set in its own grounds just off a modrately busy road. We were welcomed when we entered the hotel and check in was very easy. We were shown to our room which was light and airy with very high celings. The Bathroom had a beautiful roll-top bath and a large shwer with a 'waterfall' head. (Great control and none of this water going from hot to cold you sometimes get) We didn't eat here as we were meeting friends in Derby so can't comment about the food but we did have breakfast here ...

„Lea Hurst is a fantastic place to stay , Quiet and secluded. The house is beautifully restored and the room was superb good views over the countryside,, Jen was a superb host and made us feel welcome in her home. Excellent breakfast and the canal path only 5 minutes walk through the garden. Good location for visiting all of the Peak District. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return “

You soon will get to know everyone’s name a they will remember yours; it’s the little things that set a small country Inn apart from the bigger and soulless enterprises. Check-in was easy and, although we originally planned to stay for a couple of days, we were made so welcome, decided to stay for two more. „This was our third time staying at Mackworth House Farm and, as ever, Peter was the perfect host. The room was clean, tidy and spacious with a beautiful view of the garden. Check-in process was quick, and Peter was on hand to answer any questions we had. The breakfast options were plentiful, and there was a lovely pub a short distance away for evening meals/drinks. Can highly recommend for those wanting to stay in and around the Peak District.“

„The room was large and very comfortable with mix of modern and traditional to suit the old building. The bathroom was spotless and beautiful. We had to be out before breakfast normal serving time. The staff were amazing and spoke to the chef who allowed us to have an earlier breakfast. The porridge was delicious and creamy best I can remember.“
