„Wow what a beautiful location. We were there right at the peak of fall leaf colors. Would have loved to take a kayak out with my fish rods but the water was cold and we had some rough waters that week. Would love to go back and enjoy this area in the summer.The place was clean and comfortable.So much to do and see in the area so we were only there to sleep at night. “

„The unit is just off the main street (Maine Street) in Brunswick, close to Gelato Fiasco and Frosty's Donuts but not so close that you hear traffic. It's clean, with plenty of windows. Parking was easy, usually on the street right in front.We didn't need a hot tub or laundry, but if those were on the property, we didn't see them. Bumping our heads on the low angled ceiling on one side of both bedrooms were an issue for both of us.In all, a good deal for a good location.“

„It was our first trip to Boothbay and we couldn't have been more pleased!!! The Shipbuilder's retreat was well appointed in every way! Wide open, well cared for, and comfortable. We enjoyed coffee on the deck and playing games in the evening. It was a convenient trip to the local grocery store, and was very near to all the beauty and joys of the Harbor, light house's, LL Bean (an hour), and hiking. We LOVE it! „We loved our stay here! What I loved most was the common area with the large sectional and seating area. Plenty of space for the 5 of us to spread out! We used the kitchen for all meals and it was adequately stocked with everything we needed for cookware and utensils. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The location is great, a quiet neighborhood and easy drive to the harbor. The only thing I would suggest to make it a better stay is more towels and adequate bedding for the pullout ...

„The location was perfect, close to Brunswick but still quiet with natural coastal surroundings. The Ocean and shoreline were pleasant to watch as the boats came in and out of the harbor. The home was great, everything was well stocked, layout was great for our family, and I enjoyed all the built-in cabinetry which added to the maritime feel. “

„This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed. It’s one thing to feel vulnerable due to a connected wall separating the room by folding doors and shutters but no blinds or curtains on some of the windows and no lock one at least one window. The room was very dusty and smelled of mold. My husband became physically sick after we closed the windows during the night ( temperature outside required it- 55 ). Also, the owner didn’t respond to a question I had the day before about cable TV.  ...

„Properly was a cozy temporary home base while at a weekend long swim meet. The house was well-equipped in every way, and the host was very responsive and extremely accommodating. The kitchen had everything we needed and we could play games or watch movies in the downtime with a cozy fire. The close proximity to Bowdoin was also a plus. Would definitely rent again.“
