The Collection Barcelona welcomes you to our 4-bedroom and 4-bathroom apartment, located at the heart of Barcelona's City Center, is perfect for those traveling with children or friends. The Eixample neighborhood is safe and family-friendly with plenty to do on your doorstep. The apartment is located next to Paseo de Gracia street, and 10 min away from Plaza Catalunya, the city centre of Barcelona.

The Space:
Welcome to this 150 m2 spacious and bright flat located next to the emblematic centre of Barcelona, Plaça Catalunya. This four-bedrooms apartment that’s spacious, bright and has a nice organization of the rooms can be divided into two units, enjoying from privacy on each of both apartments (please note those are rented together and there is no option to rent them separately).

We manage other identical apartments in the same building, really convenient for big families, groups of friends or business trips.

⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT Please note the apartment is located in a residential building, where neighbors live here all year around and it is our obligation to respect their rest. Walls are very thin and other residents of the building very sensitive to noises. Please make sure before confirming your reservation you can adhere to the simple House Rules that are detailed below. Failure to accept and follow those will result on a monetary sanction and eviction from the property with no refund for the remaining nights.

The apartment has a capacity for up to 9 people distributed in 4 bedrooms:

Natural light flows through the living area, making it bright and airy. Surrounded by large windows, the room has a large, comfy sofa, and flat-screen TV, so you can make yourself at home. The open-plan space includes a dining table, so you can enjoy a meal with family or friends.

The Neighborhood:
The Eixample is a modernist district that stretches from Plaça de Catalunya and includes both residential and business areas. It is the neighbourhood where you can find Carrer de Valencia, in which the apartment is situated. It’s known for its grid system of straight streets, which was built in the 1860s to accommodate the city’s rising population. There are many restaurants and cafes in this region, which is full of modernist structures with stone and iron embellishments on their façade.

Getting Around:
The closest metro station is Passeig de Gracia (Lines 2, 3 & 4).
The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the train towards "Aeroport" at Passeig de Gracia. There are trains every 20min and it costs around 5€.

Other Things to Note:
*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***

- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small fee of 2.25€ + VAT per person over 17 years old and per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. Also, from 2022 Barcelona City Council applies 3.25€ + VAT to the tourist tax as a city tax fee, also per person over 17 years old and per night up to a maximum of 7 nights.

- This cost of 6.65€ per person over 17 years old and per night up to a maximum of 7 nights IS NOT included on your reservation.

- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.

- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.

Check-in time is at 17:00 hrs
Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)

*** HOUSE RULES ***

1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction
2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.
3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).
4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.
5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.
6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.
7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.

Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.

Total misrepresentation

This is not our original selection of an apt. We were contacted by you saying our original choice which we had already paid a deposit on was not available, we were offered this apartment showing it had a pool and was air conditioned etc, on arrival the pool was empty, there was no oft water in half of the apt, the air conditioning was not working properly , we went 6 days out of 9 with no hot water, no pool at all and inoperative AC for 6 days, we complained to collection crew every day this apartment was not what it was advertised as been and was totally unacceptable we requester another apt but were ignored, we would never book another Holliday home with you because we can’t trust what you say in your advertising or descriptions of accommodation we paid a lot of money for this apt and we feel cheated.

No AC !!

When we arrived in the apartment it was minimum 30 Celsius inside. The AC didn’t work. We texted the contact reference and they told us it was broken and they were going to fix it. This lasted for 6 days without any AC. I find the delay unacceptable and the owner didn’t do much (except giving us fans) to helps us. It was impossible to sleep for all the family. We wanted to get a refund for the nights and find another place with AC. They did not accept. It was one of our top criterias. We leave Barcelona exhausted !

Falsely advertised amenities and poorly managed - AVOID!

This was my worst vrbo experience. They advertised AC, which didn’t work (in Spain’s hot Summer!) and kept promising they would fix it and never did (we notified them right after arrival). They also offer “24/7 concierge service” yet the only time they answered was after hours, when I was told the office would contact me the following morning (they never did). There was very loud street noise in the front apartment so leaving the windows open (for air!) presented a challenge. Then in the back apartment, the window in one of the bedrooms would not open, so those family members had to sleep on the hard floor and couch in the room with the sofa where they could get a slight breeze. Management did nothing to fix the window - they only asked we send them a picture (of a closed window?!). In the front apartment there was no interior door handle. Someone (the “management” company?!) had placed a paper towel in the door socket and one night we closed the door and my family of four was locked in the apartment for an hour until our other family members staying in the adjoining suite arrived home. Major fire hazard(!) and another example of basic maintenance neglected. Other examples include damaged walls, sewage smell in bathrooms (poorly maintained pipes) and sloppily installed hardwood floors / big spaces between planks. We weren’t expecting a 4-star experience. We were expecting them to deliver what they advertised. Avoid this place at all costs!

Great location

Pros: Absolutely Fantastic location, great place for large group or families traveling together, a bathroom for every bedroom, clean white sheets, washer/dryer combo in each apartment Needs improvement: the couch in the living room is really uncomfortable and needs to be fixed/replaced. No tables in the living room-you have to hold on to your drinks/food or put things on the floor, there is a sewage smell in the bathroom that eventually goes away after you flush the lines a few times, you should have more than 1 towel per person, need more pillows for the bed, lack of hot water when showering at certain times of the day. Overall, there are some things that need to be improved upon but decent place to stay if you have a large group and the location is great.

Location, location, location

From beginning till end a great experience, the flat was fantastic, very well kitten out. Everything you might need, plenty of bathrooms (we were 7 women staying !) The location was excellent, Everything was easy to get too and we really got the feeling like we were living the Barcelona High Life. Communication was excellent with the host! We really couldn't find fault and will definitely stay here if the need arises!!!! 5*
