It's the first season that Tiziana and Salvatore are hosting their holiday home. And they are doing it so well! They really do everything for their guests to have a pleasant and beautiful stay there. And Tiziana and Salvatore are two really lovely persons.
On our first day of arrival, we were impressed about the excellent renovated building. It was a former farmhouse, pretty old, and the renovation has made a real jewel out of it! Some parts of the original walls still can be seen / have been left open, and the original wooden ceiling is a dream. I should also mention that the decoration is high above what is usually considered "normal" for a holiday home - all is very stylish and fits the old character of the house. Some equipment of the decoration could also be found in a museum as well!
In addition, far above standard is the surroundings of the house: An enormous huge garden - more like a park. There exists a blueberry plantage in one part of the garden, which Tiziana sells to nearby restaurants and / or to private customers.
The village Montrigiasco is up on a mountain and it is really calm and relaxing up there. We slept se well in this quiet countryside!
You don't see the lake directly up there, but after driving aprox. 4km, you can see it from above in its whole beauty.
We enjoyed hiking there, which is possible directly from the home, but of course the nearby valleys are more recommended when you want to see and experience pure nature in the mountains. We also had some beautiful motorcycle trips into the valleys surrounding the Lago Maggiore, some on italian side, some on swiss side.
Last to mention is that there are so many pretty towns and villages to see surrounding the Lago Maggiore. Two weeks was quite too few time to see everything. The Borromean Islands are for sure a must for each tourist, as well.
We will definitely come back to this beatiful area and to Tiziana, because this was a perfect holiday in an excellent holiday home. We would like to rate it upper high standard. Next time, I hope to have learned some italian words, because I want to conversate more with lovely Tiziana and Salvatore than over Google Translate App.
