"Would summarise as very disappointing. Aside from the construction which we knew of beforehand, this is definitely not a 5 star hotel or 5 star service. Our room was aged, the towel dryer didn’t work hence we used soggy towels for 2 days. There were also holes in our bed linen / no shower gel. When we notified the head of the hotel in the morning, there was no apology, just an acknowledgment. When we came back to the hotel 7 hours later, the room was uncleaned and none of the issues we stated were addressed. We had to then ask reception again and again there was no apology. The younger staff were helpful and friendly. One man gave up a great restaurant recommendation and was quick to send us some fresh towels. However the hotel is let down by the management (head of reception). Even when we were leaving, she did not utter a word. The positives are the bed was comfortable and the garden is very beautiful. "
