„Brilliant cottage, location was excellent on the edge of the whinlatter forest .The cottage had plenty of room, it was very clean , warm & comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped.really nice modern bathrooms It was made extra special with the Christmas tree & extras left by the staff. Thank you we had a wonderful stay & will definitely book again. Really helpful team.“

„Two separate electrical faults. One caused a flame to shoot out the wall melting the wires in the kitchen socket, the other melted the wires in the immersion heater meaning no hot water for several days. A door fell off in the kitchen, and the upstairs landing storage heater wires had been cut and disconnected so it was freezing upstairs at night. I was told by the electrician that came out several times that the owner of the property liked to ‘tinker’ with the electrics hence the botched up ...

„The Cottage was ideally located for lots of adventures and had a very homely feel. The Cottage has the benefit of off road parking and because there are really good amenities in Braithwaite together with the fabulous walks from the door ranging from a Wainwright to a gentle stroll around the village we didn't use the car. We particularly enjoyed the walk up Barrow and Outerside with our dog Toby. I'm sure we will be staying again.“

„Our second stay at Glen Cottage. Great location for exploring north western lake district. Really useful to have a parking space, superb walks accessible from the cottage, set in a lovely village with 3 pubs and 2 cafes within walking distance too. Cottage has been extremely well refurbished and a super place to stay in any season. Log burner nice to have in winter but took some lighting and the use of firelighters might have helped with this.“
