„What a beautifully unique place to stay! We were in the Gamekeeper's bothy and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was clean and spacious and the wood stove kept us plenty warm! We never saw any red squirrels but I did see a beautiful jay that was so different from the blue jays we have in the US. I would stay here again in a minute!“

„This is a good “roof over your head” if you’d like to explore the area (we went driving all over Scotland). It’s very small so better suited for a couple or maybe with a small child. Host was super friendly! For US visitors, this is like a small mobile home in a mobile home park dedicated to short term vacation rentals. “

„Die kleinen Hütten sind sehr schön ruhig gelegen mit einer Herde Schafe als Nachbarn. Es war alles wie beschrieben. Für unseren kurzen Aufenthalt zu zweit war alles nötige vorhanden. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern hat super funktioniert.“

„This was a last minute booking for us as a wee family treat. The hosts were there on arrival and kindly gave us lots of great tips for exploring the surrounding areas. There is paddleboarding and axe throwing adjacent to the site and Montrose and Brechin are a short drive away. Treat yourself to a lovely riverside woodland walk (blue door walk) in the pretty village of Edzell which is also a short car journey away. The host also advised us to try the Anchor pub in Johnshaven village for food ...

"Sehr zentrale Lage. Nah an der Music Hall. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Beim (englischen) Frühstücksbuffet haben wir nichts vermisst; kein kontinentales Frühstück (warum auch, wir sind ja auf der Insel). Wenn es jemanden nicht schmeckt, gibt es aber in der Umgebung genug Auswahl an Alternativen. Einen Parkplatz haben wir nicht gebraucht."

"Absolut TOP! Wenn ich wieder nach Aberdeen reise, dann definitiv hier her..! Super Hotel, sehr freundlich und vor allem mit Frühstück, schottisch, einfach gut. Was ich nicht ganz verstehe ist, dass man den Spa Bereich extra bezahlen muss.."
