„It's definitely a great space to stay to be central to town. The location is first-class: walking distance to town, beaches, and a local pub.A few small things to be aware of when booking. The fridge is very small, we had 4 adults, 2 children, and we had to use two eskys to keep everything we needed.The internet is incredibly patchy, also neither TV has great service, and they aren't smart TVs. Not overly an issue, as in summer you'd be at the beach, but as one day was cold and raining for us, ...

„What a beautiful property! We had an hours-long tour with Kathy, the caretaker, who lives in a cottage at the back of the property. There was so much to explore! The kids loved the pool. We played tennis. We walked, and walked, and walked. Quirky, and fun! Kathy and the team go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Beds were comfy, and lots of care taken to keep the place clean and visually interesting. Enjoy! “

„Good budget accomodation. Room dated but reasonably ok. No amenities in room at all, just beds and a pedestal fan, 1 bathroom ok the other good. Quiet location. Lots of stairs.“

„Davidson Cottage was charming and cosy and very well situated for a walk into the Penola township or a drive to the wineries.Our hosts had thought of everything we may need and we made good use of the open fire, whilst our little dog loved the sun filled fenced yard and getting to know the Alpaca next door. This was a great base to explore the Coonawarra and we have stocked up our cellar for winter. We certainly hope to return.“

„The meals were very generous and good pub fare. The room was not heated at all, so be aware in winter it's cold!! An electric blanket would have been helpful. That said, the blankets were warm. Wifi didn't work in the rooms, so we weren't able to watch anything or plan the next day (no tv). Wifi worked in the shared lounge and in the bar. It was clearly a grand hotel in its day, nice that not too much has been modernised. “
