„The main issues we noticed was that it seems they have some plumbing issues to figure out. In both rooms that we had it seemed that the shower pan was leaky and even if you were really careful water went all over the floor. That seemed to cause a very musty smell in the room. Surprised to see that issue with such a new building. Also took a few minutes for hot water but that's pretty common in Madagascar. It was plenty hot once it got going. I hope they get the leaking issue sorted out ...

„A landmark in this lively town. Huge place, lots of history. A little primitive, but comfortable.“

The location probably explains why, as it is deep inside a slum neighborhood with only dirt roads and lots of mud puddles. However, the saving grace is the hotel's management, who went above and beyond in providing excellent service. On the night we checked-in, torrential rain made it impossible to go out and get dinner. „The hotel was about what I expected for Antrisabe, but I think the price is too high. Par for the course is the lack of toiletries, but there was also no towel. Otherwise it is barebones but serviceable with a friendly staff.“
