„Waren auf Ahnensuche in der Nähe von Wittenberg. Die Gegend landschaftlich hübsch ein bisschen wie Ostpreußen. Sehr einsam, nur Maisfelder und Farmen. Laut Grabsteinen auf Friedhöfen fast alles deutschstämmige. Ein Leben in der Einsamkeit um es freundlich auszudrücken, besonderes in den harten Wintern “
