„It's very quiet, very calm and very well appointed. I had a luxurious chalet with a mini kitchen and fast internet. Do bring food with you as there's not a restaurant at the hotel and you'll have to go back into Carnarvon to eat otherwise - where options are limited. Bring cat treats too if you want to be popular with the feline greeters The host is very welcoming and you'll enjoy seeing the ostriches on this working farm “

„Our hosts made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived at "Die Kleipot Guesthouse". Our room was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean with a very comfy bed. Both dinner and breakfast were a blast! Delicious freshly cooked meals with plenty of fresh herbs being used. We could chose from several options, vegetarian ones among them. The value we got for money was simply amazing!“

„A fantastic little farm off the beaten track in the Karoo. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with air conditioning and all the regular amenities. There is a lovely little swimming pool to cool off in and the farm animals around the rooms add to the charm of the place. The honesty bar is very welcome after a long hot drive through the Karoo and the food is delicious and plentiful. The only thing that could be improved is that breakfast should be included in the price as it’s not cheap ...

„Clean and adequate accomodation with a comfortable room and a lovely pool and bar area. There were no amenities in our room when we arrived, not even toilet paper but this was quickly sorted out by staff once we notified them. Wi fi didn’t work throughout the stay. The bathroom is small with a shower only but adequate for an overnight stay. The pool was lovely and clean and the garden well kept. All in all a good option for a quick stay on the Jhb to Cape journey“
