„This is a very clean and comfortable place at a great price point. The best thing is the really sweet couple running the place. It's an old property but for the price it is safe, clean and what you need for a couple good nights of sleep. I came here for a marathon in Shiner so it was a good location. It's near HEB and a few interesting towns like Luling and Gonzalez on the fringe of hill country. “

„I have stayed at the property before. It seems like they just do not clean very well. There was only 1 coffee pack and it was decaf. The property needs to be repaired in many areas. A/C cooled, but cycled off often, making the room uncomfortable during the night. No hot water in the shower.“

„I was celebrating my 66th birthday on August 9th and although I have always lived in Texas, I had never visited the Spoetzel brewery in Shiner. So our stop in Shiner was the first two nights of my celebration before heading to Austin.The Kuby House was a perfect spot to enjoy our time in Shiner. There was even a set of dominoes! The spirit of Kuby probably enjoyed hearing the rattle of dominoes in his old hangout.Thanks for a great time in Shiner Tx!“

„This was a beautiful and quiet location. There was plenty of room for my party to enjoy time together. The only thing that could have been better was the beds. The mattresses were too firm for my liking but everything else was great.“

„We all had a great time ; especially our granddaughters. James and Marty are excellent hosts. They took the time introduce all the animals to our granddaughters including the goats, chickens, turkey, rabbits and peacocks. The girls got to hold and feed a baby peacock. The accommodations were perfect for us. Thanks for the goat milk for Susan’s coffee. We highly recommend staying at the Byrd’s Nest.“
