„We had no choice as there was no where else in Burra. Previous reviews had complained about a step in a dark corridor and nothing had been done to fix this problem and my partner also missed this step and stumbled. At least some yellow tape on the step would help. The corridors are stacked with old boxes and other bits of junk. You do get what you pay for and the room is simply furnished. At least the room was warm. The meal however was wonderful. Would eat there any time“

„Highly recommend this Historic Cottage . Near town (walking distance) and serene. Beautiful gardens compliment this house . Everything we needed was there. Beds comfortable, warm, it has a fireplace but we didnt use it. Functional kitchen , and nice relaxing lounge area. So much History in this cottage and an EX Premier of the state owned it at one point . Plenty to see in the town , grab the Burra Pass, its well worth it. Very clean and neat place . “

„The cottage has a cosy, historical ambiance, set in a beautiful garden. We enjoyed our stay very much. The pub, within walking distance was fantastic too. Our hosts and the locals are warm and friendly. “

„This property was exceptionally clean including all crockery and cutlery. It had the charm of a heritage building combined with the basic elements to make our stay a pleasant one. One bathroom with toilet within may be a consideration for some. The grounds are lovely with a great bbq entertaining area that would be excellent in the warmer months. “

„The house is well sited for visits to places of interest in Burra. It is somewhat large than I expected, with a room adjacent to each bedroom. In the lounge room there is a good wood burning heater and lots of firewood is provided, as well as kindling etc, for starting the fire. The host was very helpful and prompt in responding to our enquiries. Overall, it's a good place to stay.“
