„It’s a standard motel in a small town about 25-30 miles away from Route 66. We were looking to see a bit more of countryside instead of driving the interstate and we found it. The town is made up of about ten streets and has maybe a population of 4000. I guess the nearby prison provides the town with jobs. The room and furniture were older. It was ok for a nights stay.“

„If you like waking up in the morning to perhaps seeing a couple deer outside your room, an eagle flying above or trout fishing the crystal waters, this is the place for you. Also, a nod to the staff. They are kind, friendly and helpful. All of them!“

„The owner was wonderful. I stayed there on my journey to my destination & on my journey home. The owner knew I was staying there on my way home & put the air conditioning on in my room so that it was cool when I arrived.“

„We had an amazing stay at the Rock House in Salem, MO! The house was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The host went above and beyond—there were snacks waiting for us when we arrived, along with shampoo, conditioner, and other thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. You can tell a lot of care is put into keeping the place clean and welcoming. Highly recommend this rental if you’re in the area!“

„This property is gorgeous. I thought I’d really dislike the portopotty but it was relatively clean. Funny enough it was the only place I could get cell reception We brought our 10 year old and he was excited to roam the rolling hills and creek. Next time we’ll be back for a more romantic stay. The air conditioner made it very cool. It was about a 25 minute drive into town. Wish we could have stayed longer!“
