„We needed to be able to check in an hour earlier than stated as we had to get changed and travel to a wedding. The staff were very helpful and allowed us . Result , we didn't have to get changed in the toilets at the venue and made it on time suited and booted 😂 “

„We stayed here as a base for a family wedding, using 5 rooms. Everyone said how good the pub was and the rooms were lovely and quiet. My husband and I had a meal on the night of arrival which was excellent. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. It was nice to have plenty of tea bags and milk cartons in the room instead of the usual 2. Very comfortable bed. Can’t fault it at all. Would definitely recommend over the nearby garner hotel as we dropped someone off there and it stank. ...

„Sehr freundlicher Empfang...obwohl wir erst spät abends eingecheckt haben. Gemütliche Atmosphäre im sehr geräumigen Gastraum....der in unterschiedliche Bereiche unterteilt ist wie z.B. ein Kaminbereich mit schweren Ledersesseln. Auch die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet...klein aber alles vorhanden. Sehr freundliches Personal, das auch auf besondere Wünsche beim Essen eingegangen ist. Die Küche hat einen gut Job gemacht...habe lange kein so gutes Steak gegessen. Was ich ein bisschen ...

„Are home away from home for 8days! Absolutely amazing staff who made us feel very welcomed. The most delicious food and drinks. The overall atmosphere of the countryside was breathtaking and so peaceful.“

„I have already text you regarding our stay it was not a hotel it was a air bed. There not enough room to swing a cat. There was only 1 towel and one beaker and no toilet roll. The outside stairs to the were dangerous. We only stayed one night as my husband nearly fell twice trying to go to the toilet. We need you to contact us so we can complain. We would like a refund for at least one night. If not both. This definitely is not a Hotel. The outside stairs were not safe the handrails were ...

„The Black dog offers affordable accommodation. An excellent restaurant, friendly bar service and comfy beds. Unfortunately the room wasnt cleaned properly with my bathroom bin full from the previous occupier, bottle tops in the corner and a loo that hadnt been clean with a broken seat. Its these little things that make a good score.“
