This welcoming vacation home overlooking Long Sands Beach in York has been in our family for since it was built in 1895 and maintains the charm of Old York Beach in every way. You'll find a recently remodeled kitchen, dining room with seating for 12, and a living room facing the beach with comfy sofa bed. The second floor boasts 3 cozy bedrooms, two with ocean views and a third with a view of the woods, and a remodeled full bathroom. The attic includes a fourth bedroom facing the beach and a great room with a full bed and two twins.
Coming in from a day at the beach, you'll appreciate the back yard sink for washing off sand and large full bath with shower. This superb retreat is equipped with modern amenities like a washer & dryer, dish washer, large-screen TV, WiFi, and heating. Enjoy BBQing and eating outside on the large back porch. Everyone will enjoy playing pingpong in the basement. And the back yard is big enough to park up to 4 cars.
You'll find several excellent restaurants and Long Sands General Store just a few minutes walk away. A casual 15-minute walk brings you to Short Sands Beach with lots of shops, restaurants (including the historic Goldenrod Restaurant), an amusement park and a small zoo. We have lots of beach chairs and beach toys for everyone to spend the day playing in the sand. But you may want to just sit in your rocking chair on the huge front porch and watch the tide roll in.
