A peaceful 80 m² log cabin right on the shore of Lake Raanujärvi, surrounded by pine forest and far from city lights. The cabin, its own sauna building and a lakeside kota make it a good place for families and small groups who want a real Lapland countryside stay, with dark skies for watching the northern lights in winter and the midnight sun in summer.

The first bedroom has a 160 cm bed and the second bedroom two 100 cm beds. A sofa bed in the living room sleeps two more. Linens and towels are ready on arrival.

The open living and dining area has a large corner sofa, a TV and a long wooden dining table for eight. The kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, stove, microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee maker. The fireplace in the living area and the wood-burning stove in the kitchen are decorative only and may not be used.

A few steps from the cabin is the separate sauna building with a wood-heated Finnish sauna and a lounge with a sofa bed. Down by the lake there is a kota, a traditional grill hut, where you can cook over the kota fire and warm up after a day outdoors. There is plenty of parking on the yard.

The cabin is in the village of Raanujärvi, about 45 minutes by car from Rovaniemi city centre. The nearest grocery store is about 45 km away, so we recommend stocking up before arrival. Santa Claus Village is about 64 km and Rovaniemi Airport about 65 km away. A car is needed.
