Ein sehr schöner Ort um sich zu erholen

Gute Ausstattung, sehr schnelles WLAN, ruhig, sehr zuvorkommende Vermieter. Zentraler Ausgangspunkt für viele sehenswerte National Trust Attraktionen.

Alles tiptop, leider war im Wohnzimmer und in der Küche ein muffiger Geruch, der sich auch mit lüften nicht vertreiben ließ.

Lovely cottage

We had a great time in the cottage. Very well designed and furnished home in a good location. We enjoyed short walk down to river, and our trip up the lane to the local farm store.

Comfortable and well equipped

We spent a very enjoyable 4 nights at Gardeners Cottage. Spacious living area (with 2 sofas), pleasant decor,nice dining alcove, well equipped kitchen with plenty of utensils, comfortable bed, power shower (+ a bath) - all mod cons. Why not 5 stars? because a few small cosmetic details need attending to, such as peeling paint on the front door and in the hall, under unit lights in the kitchen that don't work, etc.

Lovely Christmas Relax

My partner and I stayed at Gardeners Cottage for 6 nights over Christmas and absolutely loved it. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a big dinner, the internet was fast, the surroundings were quiet and the shower had a good pressure. It's in a secluded location but not far from Yeovil and you can easily get further a field. The only downsides (if I'm being fussy) was that there was only half a loo roll when we arrived late on Xmas eve (probably the only thing I didn't think about taking with us!) and there were no kitchen towels or oven gloves. As long as you take those items with you you'll have a perfect holiday. The cottage itself is nicely decorated and has everything you need for a home away from home.

Little disappointing

I had read the reviews before booking and hope we were just unlucky. We felt that the property had lacked some attention to small details that make a difference . We arrived in the dark and one of the outside lights did not work. We then approached the front door which was rotten in places and needed painting. On entering the property there were quite a lot of old cobwebs. The welcome booklet was missing instructions for appliances and WiFi and only had details in which we had previously received. The information on who to contact in case of a problem was out of date. All these comments have been communicated to the owner and will hopefully be rectified.

A nice cup of tea!

On arrival we found the hot tap running in the bathroom and the fridge door ajar in the kitchen. There is a bare light bulb in the bathroom that is unsafe. The rooms were fairly clean but the the bath had a ring round it. The complimentary gift pack was lacking overall. A piece of cheese, a pat of butter and a small pot of chutney. Tea bags,coffee,sugar,milk would have been better and even helpful to provide bread.

Yeovil Gardners cottage just what we needed

Great base to explore both east and west. Visited many beaches on the Jurassic coast esp Durdle Door! The outlets in Street for my wife and then climbed Glastonbury Tor. Also Sherborne Abbey and Cerne Abbas. The cottage was spacious warm and clean. The washer and dryer a rare helpful find for us after travelling for 5 weeks. Even a nearby woodpecker for a gentle wakeup every morning at 7.

Lovely!

A lovely stay in a lovely cottage. Everything perfectly okay! Great beds, nice and comfortable furniture and quiet surroundings makes this a perfect holiday location. Would recommend it to everyone. We'll certainly come back!

Useful location, compact and generally fine. Could have been cleaner, lots of (old) cobwebs, damp and dog hairs. While we appreciated the cheese, milk and chutney, perhaps a few teabags, some kitchen roll and some washing up liquid would have been more useful. Generally ok.

cosy cottage

Our stay at Gardeners Cottage was brief but pleasant. Lovely location, cottage cosy once the heating kicked in, (would have been nice to arrive on a cold day to a warm house). Quiet and private cottage, nicely laid out and furnished although some maintenance would have made the property looked more cared for. Once maintenance addressed this would be a beautiful cottage.

Everything you need for two. Well placed for visiting NT properties + towns of Yeovil and Sherborne. Dog friendly accommodation and garden. Good pub nearby and fields for dog to be exercised at Mudford.

Knus huisje met wat kanttekeningen.

Knus huisje, groot genoeg voor 2 personen. Voor ons doel was de ligging van het huisje perfect. Kanttekeningen: veel dode vliegjes in de woonkamer en slaapkamer. Handdoeken roken niet fris. Toilet was niet echt schoon. Daarnaast was de oven/gril niet schoon zoals wij het thuis gebruiken.

Staying in the area to see family, excellent rural location. Everything we required for two people, We had a slight issue with hot water but it was dealt with so quickly and for that a big thank you. We would definitely stay again
