„Location gut Abendessen gut Frühstück gut Rühig Biergarten Parkplätze“

„Great welcome easy check in and friendly team 😁. We arrived late after a long drive - the venue is an old pub with rooms. We navigated our way to the top floor room. As we arrived Halloween weekend we thought the dust and cobwebs in the room were part of the theme. 👻 The carpet around the bed and doors hadn’t been hoovered for months. A layer of dust was on all the light fittings and cobwebs everywhere - bed and pillows weren’t great and we could hear the noise from the high street, boy ...

„Excellent scenic location next to the river. Amazing breakfast choices. Evening meals were always very good and sometimes exceptional. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would hope to return.“

„Lovely hotel, cosy feel“

„The venue is currently set up for youth residential events so it doesn't have hotel facilities. Our room was modern and clean with comfortable beds and a good bathroom, but it would have benefited from a few extra amenities. Still, the staff were friendly and welcoming, we absolutely loved the estate and we look forward to visiting again soon. It's a great place for families who enjoy outdoor activities. „Was surprised how comfortable the bed was- big plus- and how quiet at night! Nothing to complain about!! “

„Wunderschöner Garten mit Springbrunnen und Teich ABER DIREKT an der Autobahn. Großartiges Frühstück“

„A lovely stay at The Speech House. A beautiful setting, comfortable room and a warm welcome. Perfect for a one-night stopover and a great base for exploring the Forest of Dean. Would happily stay again!“

„Lovely room. Nice breakfast.“

„Ein traumhafter Aufenthalt in einer absolut wunderbaren Schloss-Atmosphäre. Es stimmte alles, vom Service über das Essen bis zu den überaus stilvoll eingerichteten Zimmern. Wir reisen viel und haben selten ein besseres Hotel erlebt. Daher stimmt auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.“

„I was in a single room, basic but clean. The hotel does need a refresh, and that is planned for next year. There is a gym guests can use, and spa treatments are also available (payable) in the Serenity Suite, a separate business on site. Staff were welcoming and very helpful.“

„Ideal location, great room and fabulous breakfast“

„Fantastic hotel and pub, very cosy and set in a fab location. The room we stayed in was delightful, very large with great amenities. Food was very tasty and the breakfast was plentiful and hot with a good variety of continental and hot breakfast items to choose from (full English including veggie option). Great to have onsite parking too. Will definitely be back thanks!“
