The Music Box Chalet - Innsbrook Resort

Tucked back on a 3 acre lot and located 50 minutes west of St. Louis, this rustic, modern chalet has been completely renovated in August of 2021 with new hardwood, updated fixtures and all new furnishings throughout. Located across the street from lake St. Gallen, it is a short drive or walk to the beach where we have 2 kayaks and 1 paddleboard available for our guests. We also provide noodles, life jackets, beach chairs, beach towels and beach toys! If a bigger lake is what you are after, we are 5 minutes from lake Aspen where you can rent pontoon boats, fishing boats, kayaks, paddleboards and lily pads.

The chalet is perfect for a family or friends getaway (sleeping a maximum of 6 people) with a king-master bedroom suite on the main level and a loft with 4 twin beds. We offer a full kitchen with essentials provided (Starbucks coffee, tea, salt/pepper, EVOO, dish & hand soap, and paper towels) two full size baths shower and shower/tub combo, a great room with an indoor wood-burning fireplace (firewood provided) and an expansive deck with seating areas for entertaining or relaxing. There is also a larger outdoor firepit and a BBQ grill (charcoal not provided). We have carefully curated a vinyl collection and some instruments for your enjoyment while visiting and there are several board games that our family loves in the chaise storage bench as well as bocce ball and washers for outdoor play and a basket of kids toys in the loft.

This chalet is intended to be either an escape from your busy work week or a unique, inspiring space to work remotely, with WIFI if needed. Netflix streaming is available (feel free to log into your account or use ours). Please note that service in the woods can be inconsistent and may slow at times.

The areas directly around the chalet are treated monthly for mosquitoes, spiders, insects and rodents. While we can’t guarantee a bug-free stay in the middle of the woods, we do our part to minimize these unwanted critters. Please note, there are rodent boxes placed strategically throughout and around the property. If you have small children, please move these out of reach during your stay and replace before you leave.

We will send a welcome message with all the codes and directions to make sure you are well prepared for your vacation and will be available to ensure your questions are answered quickly before and during your visit. There is also a book on property with maps of the lakes, hiking trails, restaurant hours and phone numbers, to make your stay enjoyable.

Check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m. We do have early check-in options, but cannot guarantee early check-in until the day before your stay. In order to respect the neighbors, our property owners, and Innsbrook Resort's rental policies, we do not allow large events or gatherings at our chalets. NO SMOKING, NO PETS, NO LARGE PARTIES - MAXIMUM 6 GUESTS

PLEASE NOTE: This property has exterior video surveillance and we are strict at maximum capacity of 6 people. Please be sure to note the accurate number of guests in your rental request. We reserve the right to charge $50 per person per night for anyone in excess of the number of guests on the accepted reservation.

Excited to stay… disappointed when we arrived

Entry into property was difficult to find at night. No clear signs of entry. No lighting once we pulled up. Even a motion light would have been helpful. My husband has Parkinson’s it was difficult to get into the property and once inside while it was nice the property seems outdated. Heat runs loud and ran all night as we got there and it was only 60 degrees inside. I’d suggest updating instructions for winter users and also provide hand towels, even a hair dryer in the bathroom as well as a punch code lock for guests instead of a key. Kitchen was vey well stocked.

A peaceful getaway

Wife and I spent the weekend and truly enjoyed the location and all the amenities. The kayaks were awesome to have, we hiked, used the fire pit, and just enjoyed the surroundings. Only suggestion would be new speakers for the record player.

We were at this house really only to sleep. It was clean, beds were comfortable, and the host is easy to communicate with. She gets back to you quickly. Our time at Innsbrook was very enjoyable. We kayaked, went paddle boarding, worked out in the gym, and hung out with some family who were staying nearby, also in Innsbrook.

Weekend at The Music Box.

The location was awesome , it was quiet and private. The WiFi was a little weak for streaming which wasn’t a big problem . Really wasn’t there for TV entertainment. This place was advertised as having a turntable with LP albums , which it had and was very excited about enjoying them. Went to listen to the albums and the speakers were blown and did not sound good at all was disappointed. Other than that it was awesome!

Great little get away in the woods.

We had a really great time in the Music Box Chalet at Innsbrook. The cabin was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. They had the kitchen nicely supplied with everything you would need, including toaster oven, blender, Keurig, crock pot, etc. I would definitely recommend it to others

Family unplugged

We spent 10 days at innsbrook. We picked here because it is close to st Charles and my kids with their kids could come at different times. The home was really nice. The main level was great for us to sit and visit with each other. The upstairs had plenty of beds. The outdoors was great for a night around the fire. Even thought it was not on the lake it was a three minute drive and the granddaughters loved it!!! Would definitely go back!!

Perfect weekend getaway

The chalet was perfect for a quiet bday trip out of the city. The kitchen was stocked, it was clean, quiet and looked just like the pictures. Enjoyed a fire outside and being surrounded by nature! Cute little market/cafe right up the road for last minute items or Starbucks coffee and we also enjoyed several of the hiking trails. Highly recommend!

Perfect little weekend getaway near to home

The cabin was a wonderful weekend getaway for our family. We loved the record player and the classic Elton John and Billy Joel records. We also really enjoyed using the kayaks and playing at the little lake. The community pool was also really nice with the lazy river.

Wonderful Location

The Music Box Chalet was a wonderful stay for our group. It was exceptionally clean and well stocked. Loved the decor and the vinyl selection. The location is surrounded by caing trees but only a short walk or drive to the beach. Highly recommend.

Great Getaway

The Music Box

The Music Box was everything that we expected. A great place for relaxing and close enough to the golf course and clubhouse. The outside fire pit was well lite for evening use. The large deck area was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying nature!

Nice but disappointing

Unfortunately, the property was not stocked as it was listed to be. We had no EVOO and ran out of paper supplies. The owner was nice and made the calls for is, but for the luxury rates we paid, it didn’t feel we got what we paid for.

Wonderful chalet for a weekend away

This chalet was super clean and stocked really well. Perfect for a group of friends or a larger immediate family weekend getaway. The area was quiet and private. Two large bathrooms really helped, and the beds were comfy. Really beautiful chalet in a beautiful location. If it was warmer we would have taken advantage of the outside seating area with the beautiful lights strung. Host had great communication from the get go; everything was thought of and outlined for us so we had no questions. Thank you!

Innsbrook - W. St. Gallen

The Innsbrook property is an adorable clean A-frame that's decorated very nicely. Kimm was quick to respond to most of my questions. She also offered the option to check-out later than 11am since the property wasn't rented out - I really appreciated this flexibility. However, we had a couple of hiccups. I enjoy having a cup of coffee in the morning, especially while on vacation, that said, I ended up driving to Wright City to buy a coffee maker, coffee filters, and coffee The coffee carafe that we were supposed to use didn't fit so we were unable to make any coffee. We also didn't have any coffee and only 1 coffee filter for our weekend stay. I emailed Kimm, but she never responded. Also, one of light switches in the loft area didn't work which mades the upstairs loft area pretty dark and a bit unsafe. At first we thought the bulb was bad, but that wasn't the case. Thank you,

Wine weekend with girlfriends

Beautiful property. We stayed for a friend’s 60th birthday and visited wineries in the area. The house was perfect. Great fire pit, we saw deer and beautiful birds every day. Kitchen was well stocked, beds comfortable, and great to have two bathrooms. Lovely deck as well. Kim answered all questions quickly. Thanks for sharing your home.

Beautiful chalet and location

This cabin is absolutely beautiful. No detail was left out when they recently renovated it. We enjoyed a short 2.2 mile walk around the lake and enjoyed the beach along with the kayaks. At night we sat around a fire and we absolutely loved the string lights strung across the yard.
