„This was a perfect cottage experience - the house itself is so charming and well kept but what puts it over the top is the location! It is literally minutes from the wonderful forest trails or the lake. You can't go wrong with a walk in either direction! And it is an easy walk to the beach park and Village! I stayed two weeks to work on a writing project and could have stayed longer. Two of my favorite features of the house are the electric fireplace indoors and the gas fire pit on the porch. ...

„I spent every summer of my childhood in Oakwood, so I know the cottage well. It used to belong to Rev. Ross Cook. My grandparents were George and Marie Cook (no relation to Rev. „Really beautiful lake property with easy-access dock. We brought our own boat since the pontoon season was over, but the canals to the house were easy to navigate and really a lot of fun to use. Firepit was great, and the outdoor spaces (deck, grill, etc.) were really enjoyable. The house does have a few "rustic" touches, but we were extremely comfortable, and it was the first time staying in an A-frame house. We recommend the experience!“

„We had a great stay for 2 nights at this location. It is perfect for a family weekend, we even got to include our dog. There is a steep hill down to the lake but it is worth it for the beautiful view and a little joy ride in the kayaks. Bring fishing poles and live bait for the bluegill and bass. The host always had a quick response and we'd love to return in the future. “

„It is a bit small and the beds are full size, not queens. We found a couple dead fish rotting in the yard and fortunately found it before our dog did. We didn't really get to ride on the pontoon bcuz it wasnt running properly, but the owner was super gracious about it and gave us a full refund on the pontoon! He seems really nice. “

„Historic building, don't be fooled by the old elevator and hallways that are not updated. When we first walked into the suite we were blown away. It this suite has been beautifully restored and has all the modern touches as well. Beds were comfortable and walking distance to almost everything. We would definitely stay here again. “
