Mostly, this is a very tired hotel in a an odd location so if you do not have a vehicle, don't stay here.
The bright spot of this hotel is the enclosed pool area. That is about the only place that looks like it has received fresh paint and been kept relatively current looking. The hot tub is in good shape and the pool deck is intact and it was really a nice little area to unwind and relax.
The rest of the hotel is VERY tired. The room was clean so that was never an issue but the hall carpets are beyond gross and pulling up outside, I was horrified. Curbside appeal of this place is LONG GONE. The front desk staff were friendly but not overly helpful in answering questions. The food at the sports bar is edible, the service was great and prices are cheap. There are a million tv's to watch sports and a pool table. All in all, it wasn't bad and I would say at least head in there for a drink and some fries.
The breakfast buffet is a typical breakfast bar but for some reason, no water was ever available and asking for it was apparently a major ordeal to the staff member on shift. There is coffee available all day but not water? Maybe it's just a Westcoast thing but I always have a water bottle with me and it would have been nice to have access to cold water. Instead I just alternated water bottles and tossed it in the fridge over night. Simple things make a difference.
