„A very satisfied stay at the Hawksmoor Guest House. The staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast was amazing and cooked from scratch. Our room was available earlier than stated and was very clean and comfortable. The location was great too, just a 15 minute walk to the town and Lake Windermere. We would highly recommend a stay here!! The Hollands!! “

„A lovely apartment right in the centre of Bowness-On-Windermere. The accommodation was spotless, cleaning spray, washing up liquid and cloths were provided. The bed was lovely and comfortable. People have mentioned the stairs up to the apartment. They caused us no problem but if people have mobility problems I can understand they might be a problem. If we return to the area we would stay here again. I am glad I didn’t book somewhere in Windermere, this was five minute walk to the lake. “

„Juli 2014. Colin und Mandy sind überaus freundliche Gastgeber, Zimmer (Nr. 3) war ausreichend groß und gut ausgestattet (Kaffee/Teebereiter, TV, Fön...), das Bett bequem, das Bad klein. Alles war sauber. Es sind nur wenige Gehminuten bis in den belebten Ortskern, das B&B liegt aber absolut ruhig. Es hat keinen Garten, in dem man sich ggfs. aufhalten könnte. „Das Hotel liegt gut und recht zentral in Bowness, 2-3 Gehminuten von den Shops, Restaurants und Hafen. Trotzdem ist es sehr ruhig da in einer Seitenstrasse gelegen. Das Personal ist sehr nett, und das Frühstück ausgezeichnet. Ich hatte ein Zimmer im Hauptgebäude, es gibt aber auch einige motel-artige Zimmer in weiteren Gebäuden (sieht jedenfalls von ausen so aus). Sollte man also bei der Buchung drauf achten. Das Zimmer was sauber und ausreichend gross, mit gutem kostenlosen Wifi-Empfang. ...

"The historic building is fabulous, the atmosphere great, it's the pole position in Windermere, great view on the lake. I wonder if it is necessary that during the summer season the building is under construction. With scaffoldings in front of the windows, some parts of the building beside the entrance in bad condition, and even a corridor we had to pass everyday was stuffed with furniture, cardboard boxes ... This is not the atmosphere for holidays. Due to repairs on some wires, the internet connection broke down every night. The location is great, but there's some work to do to bring it back to its standard. "
