„Such a lovely traditional guesthouse. Ann was a really friendly, helpful host, the room was super clean, spacious and pretty and the breakfast cooked by her husband Paul was fantastic. Beautiful location - Penrith is a hidden gem. 10/10 thoroughly recommend. “

„2 days well spent at this lovely homely property! Located in a great place with easy parking. Richard is a right bloke, would loved to have stayed up talking to him at the bar but after walking the local fells went to relax in the brilliant room. The hosts put their heart & soul into making everything perfect. We would certainly return. “

„On arriving The lady on reception was very friendly and welcoming and explained everything to us including the wifi password and breakfast serving times, she also went to check the room was ready for us as we were a little early. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice ensuite shower room with a small selection of toiletries, also tea coffee and biscuits in the room. At breakfast the same lady was busy around the dining area taking orders and serving breakfasts which were very nice. And ...

„Juli 2014. Colin und Mandy sind überaus freundliche Gastgeber, Zimmer (Nr. 3) war ausreichend groß und gut ausgestattet (Kaffee/Teebereiter, TV, Fön...), das Bett bequem, das Bad klein. Alles war sauber. Es sind nur wenige Gehminuten bis in den belebten Ortskern, das B&B liegt aber absolut ruhig. Es hat keinen Garten, in dem man sich ggfs. aufhalten könnte. Die Zimmer haben keinen Balkon. Das Frühstück war üppig und lecker, vom Obstsalat (viele Beeren) über das Cooked Breakfast bis zum ...

„A nice Guesthouse, renovated and in good condition. Bed and especially the cushions are uncomfortable. There is no breakfast, despite the fact that they advertise on the booking platform,that a breakfast would be available for £10.- additional charge per person (it seems that they stopped serving breakfast with COVID). Unfortunately there is no full English breakfast available within walking distance. They all open only at 10am! There is a café which opens earlier, but no English breakfast, only ...

„Zimmer in hübschem Altstadthaus. Direkt an Ortsausgangsstraße, nachts ber OK. Kein eigener Parkplatz, muss in Nähe gesucht werden. In der Nähe viele Restaurants und Pubs. Zimmer wurde leider nicht jeden Tag gemacht, und der abgebuchte Preis entsprach nicht dem Expediapreis. Trotzdem aber durchaus empfehlenswert, weil infach ideal gelegen und im Preisvergleich letztlich OK.“

„Sehr sauberes BB im viktorianischen Stil mit sehr freundlichen Gastgebern die sehr bemüht sind einem den Aufenthalt so gut wie möglich zu machen. Hotel in guter Citylage mit Restaurants herum und in Seenähe. Leider haben nicht alle Zimmer ein eigenes Badezimmer.“

"The historic building is fabulous, the atmosphere great, it's the pole position in Windermere, great view on the lake. I wonder if it is necessary that during the summer season the building is under construction. With scaffoldings in front of the windows, some parts of the building beside the entrance in bad condition, and even a corridor we had to pass everyday was stuffed with furniture, cardboard boxes ... This is not the atmosphere for holidays. Due to repairs on some wires, the internet connection broke down every night. The location is great, but there's some work to do to bring it back to its standard. "
