„Really lovely family run pub and rooms. Food, service and staff were all excellent. The room was spotless and spacious with a great outdoor area to sit with a cuppa. Everything you need is here and a it's a great base to explore lots of local places of interest. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Could not fault and would definitely recommend.“

„My partner and me stayed during the first horrible heatwave in June, to get some respite in the AC that was featured in the amenities of the property. Not only was there AC in the room, but also in the pub/restaurant area! It was absolutely delightful - we struggled leaving! The staff were so friendly and attentive; nothing was too much trouble. We were given a flask of fresh milk to have with tea/coffee in the room, and some freshly baked cookies. I couldn’t get the shower to cool down, this ...

„A very nice old pub in a central position in Mere The old plumbing system is extremely loud. There was no menu available - neither for breakfast nor evening meals. The meals praised on the website did not exist. The owner/chef arrived late for breakfast so early morning breakfast not available. Guests had to leave without the breakfast although included in the price.“
