„A very good equipped house with a little garden. The small village of Mere is almost next to Stourhead House and Gardens. Even other attractions of the counties Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset are easy to reach. Our host Helen was very friendly with a lot of recomandations for activities.“

„Kein direkter Kontakt zu den Gastgebern, die Handtücher für die Gäste werden mit den völlig verdreckten Handtüchern für den Hund der Eigentümer gewaschen, in unserem Bad hing ein auf dem "Molly" (so heißt der Hund) stand!! Überall lag eine Staubschicht, die Räume sind sehr dunkel, die Fenster wurden schon sehr lange nicht mehr geputzt. Es hieß, es gebe im Restaurant gegenüber einen Rabatt; leider weiß der Restaurantbetreiber nichts davon. Der Kühlschrank war mit leckeren Sachen fürs Frühstück ...

„Mit Nicky, der Vermieterin hatten wir keinen persönlichen Kontakt. Sie hat schnell auf Unklarheiten geantwortet. Das Haus liegt in einer Wohnsiedlung in Everton. Es bietet Platz zum Verweilen. Alle notwendigen Utensilien sind vorhanden. Das Haus ist wohnlich eingerichtet. Für vier Personen ist es nicht zu klein. “

A good sized cottage with a beautiful garden leading out onto a recreation ground which was ideal for the children and walking the dogs. „It is exactly as the description says. Great place for multi generational family gathering. Games room packed with toys kept 4 year old entertained as did the table tennis for the teenagers. Walking distance to shops and beach. Well equipped with plenty of everything. Highly recommend“

„We had a wonderful weekend in Wimborne staying at the Town House. Communication from Claire was excellent and the house is as described. Everything was super clean and well maintained, the beds were comfy, showers were fantastic and the kitchen was well equipped. House is located in the heart of Wimborne and we enjoyed afternoons on the beach in Poole and mornings exploring the Stour Valley with the dog. Great meal at Wimborne Pig and cheese and wine at Renoufs Wine Bar. 100% recommend.“

„Alles in allem hat uns der Aufenthalt gut gefallen. Das Cottage ist klein und windschief, wie es bei so alten Häusern nunmal der Fall ist. Heizung funktioniert gut und praktisch war auch die ebenerdige Dusche. Alles natürlich ein wenig verwinkelt, vor allem das Badezimmer, aber sowas wurde ja nunmal erst viel später nachträglich eingebaut. Die Möbel waren leider alt und muffig. Mit schöner neuer Inneneinrichtung im Landhausstil könnte man viel mehr aus dem Cottage machen.“

Only improvement would be changing the check in arrangements as you have to drive into the centre of Bournemouth first and there was very parking to collect the keys before driving onto the property. „We had such a lovely time at Acorn cottage, it was absolutely perfect in every way. Communication with Maria throughout super easy and the cottage is stunning, probably one of the most well thought out, well stocked getaways we've stayed at. We did plenty of local walks straight from the cottage and had a few stop offs on the way home in the local pub. We also visited on a pretty wintery weekend so it made the forest and the pub that little bit more festive. We would definitely return.“
