„If you value the suspension in your car then avoid the long potholed drive up to this property!
On arrival it transpired the lift was not working and no-one appeared the whole weekend to investigate or repair. No idea how long it had been broken. No apology was given when we arrived. We were simply directed to the staircase to get to our room on the 2nd floor!.
No idea when the skirting boards in the room was last cleaned.
The shower in the room was scalding hot one minute and freezing cold ...

„Excellent location and setting.
Staff excellent.
Steam room out of service in the spa.
Room could have done with some tlc - eg crumbly walls around where curtain hooks and the tv cable have been put in.
TV in the room didn’t work.
No decaf tea bags so got charged £9.35 for two decafs in the sitting room.“

„Beautiful setting, nice hotel and amenities etc.
Was disappointed with the soundproofing of the room as I could hear the people in room 9 snoring all Friday night ( I had little if any sleep) and I am registered partially deaf in both ears. I did comment to the receptionist in the morning and was told the rooms in the main house were better soundproofing as regards to maybe staying again in the future.“
